## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM

This poem reflects upon the gradual loss of wonder, dreams and emotional freedom as adulthood settles beneath the weight of routine and responsibility. Through nostalgic and melancholic imagery, it explores how reconnecting with the inner child and preserving the enchantment once found in stories, imagination and innocence may help restore meaning, resilience and hope in later life.

Our burdens
The sum of sorrows
We carry
Their dead gait
Knees caving under the weight
Of wasted morrows

## ✍️ ADAPTED LYRICS

[Verse]
Our burdens, the sum of sorrows
they reek of the wasted morrows
We carry solemn their dead gait
knees caving under their great weight

[Verse]
Open heart, let the sorrow drip
From enlarged chest to the feet’s tip
Like the falling rain kissing Earth
see in their embrace the rebirth

[Verse]
Of inner children, we were once
the kings of playgrounds to ensconce
dark stringent marks of Time, chests bare
still unwoven threads, laid down hair

[Chorus]
Dreams dreamt, lost in mists, blown in winds
The paper scattered now rescinds
every Magic word read in books
Its golden ink now glossed in brooks

[Verse]
We danced with winds that shook all fires
within heart carving desires
the mind a wild bird, Soul carefree
the body gripped in dancing spree

[Verse]
Bleak routine settling in with hooks
anchored us within quiet nooks
Of larky times, now rooted feet
Day by day we face slow defeat

[Chorus]
Dreams dreamt, lost in mists, blown in winds
The paper scattered now rescinds
every Magic word read in books
Its golden ink now glossed in brooks

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM

This poem reflects upon how memory, emotional rupture and unresolved attachments may continue to reverberate through the self across time. Through layered symbolic imagery, it explores the tension between illusion and sincerity, emotional fragmentation and the enduring search for genuine human connection.

Look upon horizon see the trees that will grow
Through the empty playgrounds where the voices holler
They fabricate reason for a token to show
Cinderella makes rounds for midnights to colour

[Verse]
Cinderella makes rounds for midnights to colour
through the empty playgrounds where the voices holler
They fabricate reason for a token to show
Look upon horizon see the trees that will grow

[Chorus]
You called upon me once like a ghost in decay
Head hung facing two suns as three to music sway
The moon shone through your frame like a weeping willow
for beating heart to tame shoulder to cast pillow

[Verse]
The king tries for treason as the daffodils slow
Flowers out of season smother traces of snow
Fading garland surrounds the beard like a trawler
Flickering net makes grounds for souls to grow taller

[Chorus]
You called upon me once like a ghost in decay
Head hung facing two suns as three to music sway
The moon shone through your frame like a weeping willow
for beating heart to tame shoulder to cast pillow

[Verse]
I offered you sun’s bunce, web of golden threads play
A knock on fate’s door chance for energy’s relay
You resumed aging game sliced orphan and widow
I spoke to you love’s name, echo you said ditto

[Chorus]
You called upon me once like a ghost in decay
Head hung facing two suns as three to music sway
The moon shone through your frame like a weeping willow
for beating heart to tame shoulder to cast pillow

The falling children (AI Suno song using my voice and my lyrics)
15 February 2026
Courtesy freepik.com

[Intro]
Each of them so slight
unknown mother’s son
their graves ever white
their hair cut come undone
their tomorrows spent in night
their haunting timeless plight

[Chorus]
The falling children dead asleep
on mothers’ bosoms wail and weep
their stories lined with broken dreams
their sorrow breaking through their screams

[Verse]
Lily white in the dirt
their cross on the Earth
trace of them subtle glow
fading now soft and slow
with the last pieces of bone
replicating loss to hone

[Chorus]
The falling children dead asleep
On mothers’ bosoms wail and weep
Their stories lined with broken dreams
Their sorrow breaking through their screams

[Verse]
The tears running dark
blackwashing marks of sin
Rimmel lakes deep and stark
Form a strong connection
The soul a weary bundle light
The struggle to sigh and fight

[Chorus]
The falling children dead asleep
On mothers’ bosoms wail and weep
Their stories lined with broken dreams
Their sorrow breaking through their screams

[Verse]
She awaits in a tight apron
hope held within bosom
her plaits tidied so neat
her hair with flowers strewn
she had kissed him to wane moon
he will call in well she feels

[Chorus]
The falling children dead asleep
On mothers’ bosoms wail and weep
Their stories lined with broken dreams
Their sorrow breaking through their screams

[Verse]
He lies lonesome so deep
battered from the defeat
his clothes pressed so tight
upon his corpse so light
They had sewn in his blown feet
He walked on a shell it seemed

[Chorus]
The falling children dead asleep
On mothers’ bosoms wail and weep
Their stories lined with broken dreams
Their sorrow breaking through their screams

[Verse]
They crawl wild and loose
hearing the gnawing news
their burnt lungs inhaling
their organs all failing
orphaned dreams set their fate
The falling children were too late

[Chorus]
The falling children dead asleep
On mothers’ bosoms wail and weep
Their stories lined with broken dreams
Their sorrow breaking through their screams

[Verse]
Three times blown over
plentiful ghosts hover
The love lost left behind
Angels look can only weep
Her love so deep now asleep
The forever kind

[Chorus]
The falling children dead asleep
On mothers’ bosoms wail and weep
Their stories lined with broken dreams
Their sorrow breaking through their screams

[Verse]
A twin loss as her teeth grind
her womb is now empty
She stares blank just turned twenty
The walls all around her smite
like those silent lilies’ sight
her wish? Just to be blind!

[Chorus]
The falling children dead asleep
On mothers’ bosoms wail and weep
Their stories lined with broken dreams
Their sorrow breaking through their screams

The loss of humanity

The loss of humanity

Withered lands
circling pools of blue
They breach through
humans’ hue
repeating blasts overheard
of acts untoward

We forsook
innocence repealed
Laughter pealed
Death revealed
the quaking knees they concealed
dire stances they took

Withered sigh
my bosom empty
as they die
smothered cry
The loss of humanity
burnt under their sky

A journey inwards

A journey inwards

When you are into healing (whether the planet, people, yourself or other sentient beings), there comes a time in your life when the concept of having a great time out with friends bears not much of a sense to you anymore. It is not that you don’t like your friends anymore or don’t want to be with them, it is just that the concept of “hanging out” as perceived by your friends bears no kinship with the meaning of having a good time as you envision it.

This is not something that I have always been experiencing as there was a time when I would not mind “hanging out” with friends (both male and female) and being silly and having fun. I still don’t mind having fun but the awkwardness that has crept into this having fun where people find it necessary to plaster their facebook, Instagram, tiktok or other more physical walls with stills or videos of them screaming, gesticulating or performing other wild actions and voice streams just does not appeal to me anymore – if it ever had really appealed to me. I also tire of some whose narcissistic display goes beyond conveying just a photo of them feeling happy but includes several videos of face and increasingly naked body shots of themselves with different kinds of music. Result is unfollow, unfollow, unfollow…

Beyond that slight growing distaste of the splashing of these sometimes crude moments (I have seen some displaying the main character throw up repeatedly to the chorus of her friends laughing) for others to see as if they would not be satisfactory in and of themselves but would only take on meaning if others were to look at them and enjoy them, endorsing this enjoyment by a like applied to this display, I realised that I was growing tired of this whole type of exterior itself. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind people sharing nice moments when they are happy or landscapes of where they have been and I too take photos that I post on Instagram or facebook but they don’t go beyond conveying this positive message. The almost fake screaming and going wild to compete with other streams where people seem wild has just become too much of drama to bear, especially when I compared it to the seemingly endless suffering of other human beings in distress whether because of war, hunger, both or other reasons.

I started slowly realising that I not only don’t enjoy these crude or sad messages anymore but I simply feel the need to withdraw from these manifestations of an overwhelming desire to appear to have fun – for the sake of the camera – and forget the fun itself. Unfollow.. unfollow… The resulting stream on facebook and Instagram is mainly of my extended family, some good friends and some meaningful videos put together by organisations that want to convey a message.

Nowadays, I mostly enjoy actual artsy moments with people singing, dancing or drawing/painting and most of all, I enjoy watching children having fun on and off camera. The view of nature (whether landscapes, birds or animals) also appeals to me far more than the forced enjoyment of human beings. I find that in my life as well, I interact more and more with children and nature and my only interactions with older human beings are for my daily work, the times when I go to the gym and of course when I walk outside or heal people.

My healing of people would have become all-encompassing if I did not have a daily job. I feel compelled to do it and am so much happier when I can dedicate my time to healing others, myself and Mother Earth. It is sometimes so strong that when I merely think of healing somebody else and have not yet started the healing, that person would send me a message saying they feel so much better. I wonder whether it is the placebo effect or the fact that with the strong intention being outside of time, the effect was already manifesting itself before I had begun (a quantum level of healing).

Plunging into this healing world and my inner thoughts, meditation and awareness has made me distance myself more and more from the outer world. It is as if that world were disappearing into a great void, a black hole yet at the same time it burns as bright as an enormous flame. I sometimes wonder whether I would open my eyes and see that there was nothing around anymore, just emptiness and a new world rebuilding, much better than it was. Then I open my eyes and see more killing, more pain, more fear and again gear myself towards healing, inward, outward, all-encompassing. I heal and I keep my faith in human beings because before some wound or a cumulative array of wounds forced them into a warped sense of adulthood that lost the inner child, they were children too.

The blackbirds flying oh so high
over war torn landscapes they sigh
wings forming black waves in the sky
They replicate patterns on Earth

The world hurled out its wayward grief
It seemed there just was no relief
I looked at it in disbelief
Would I withstand what was in store?

I lay low in the leafy grass
body weighted like solid brass
eyes peering through the looking glass
would tomorrow hold new meanings?

My heart survived the black dismay
I kept the gloomy thoughts at bay
I piled upon me yellow hay
to make believe in new sunrise

Sun’s pallor shone at languid pace
to serve a day of deep disgrace
when men their horrors would not face
so the innocent paid the price

A thousand children were our shame
most surely we are all to blame
we saw them fall to deadly flame
now rubble and tears fill our hearts

I lift a world of red ember
a weight more than I remember
In a cold night of December
internal flicker fed my hope

Alternate Realities – Chapter Five : The World in between

Alternate Realities – Chapter Five : The World in between

21 April 2019

feedme Helena Nelson Reed

Horus looked at her surprised face and asked “Did you not know I would come to guide you?”

  • No, she answered. I thought it was an angelic guide
  • There are angels too but their mission is else. They are responsible for managing the overarching system of the multiverse. The gods that I belong to are responsible only for this universe. We do not manage what is happening in other universes
  • So each universe has its own gods?
  • Do you find that surprising? – he laughed throatily. In just one world you have managed to have so many gods. It should not surprise you that there are many more in the other universes of the multiverse.
  • How do the gods manage not to fight over universes?
  • Well they actually do fight.
  • They seem to be very humane gods. If there is one thing that makes them similar to humans it would be the desire for additional conquests then.
  • We are not the source. The source does not need to fight. It owns all, it is all.
  • Do you fight with other gods?
  • I had to a very long time ago and I might have to again. You will help me fight. You and the children of the world in between.
  • Children?
  • Yes, neither human, nor gods, neither flesh nor spirit but a combination of both, capable of living in both worlds and changing as the circumstances require.
  • Where are they now? Are they ready to fight for you?
  • They are not ready yet. It will take time for that. I need to get you ready first. That is why I had come to guide you.

She was a bit puzzled at all of this. What had this got to do with getting rid of her fears and moving into higher realms? If this was what the higher realms were made of then she was not sure that she wanted any of it. She had a hard time already trying to reconcile the fact that humans only thought of getting more for themselves and were ready to slaughter each other for that, if the gods too were like that, she was not sure she wanted to be involved with them at all.

  • It is not the same thing. We do not fight pettily. Some of us are gods of the light and others gods of the dark. In the beginning the source created us equal and gave each group of us a world to manage but some gods wanted to have more worlds than the one they were assigned. They were mainly the gods of the dark. They wanted darkness to be spread all over the universe so we had to fight them as they were pitilessly slaughtering the beings under their care.
  • Why did the source not intervene?
  • The source is convinced that balance will prevail, automatically. You have to understand that for the source, all that you are going through, all the lifetimes of the humans and the beings on the other worlds are like a tiny speck of dust in comparison to its existence. The source will wait and will not intervene and that wait could be billions of years for humans and the other beings so we have to fight.
  • Who are we meant to fight? How do you fight gods?
  • There is one god who started this and who gathered all the other gods of the dark under his command. He is called Settesh. If we overcome Settesh, then all the other gods of the dark will cease their hostilities and relinquish the worlds they conquered to their rightful owners.
  • Is the Earth conquered
  • Yes, it is one of those worlds that was conquered.
  • Who did it originally belong to?
  • It belonged to me and my parents. Settesh killed my father and partly took over this world. When I was ready to fight him my mother taught me the ways but it was only half a victory and we were never able to shake his hold of this world.
  • How could he have partly conquered it. I don’t understand.
  • It is conquered by fear. As long as humans vibrate to the energy of fear, it will remain under his control. From time to time there is a large manifestation of love and that is when his grip becomes weak but as long as there are humans who fear, this world will never be fully ours and humans will never enter the Golden Age of their history.

She realised that what he was saying made sense. It had always seemed to her that fear had a debilitating effect on humans and she understood why he had been so insistent that she get rid of the fear before the ascension to the land of all beginnings. She had let the fear control her and her ascension had been a difficult experience. She understood now why the Mother had not been more welcoming. Burdened by fear she was more a tool of Settesh than a warrior of the light. The Mother and Toth had still weighed her deeds and given her the token so surely they thought she would still be helpful to them. She vowed to her self that she would start meditating more and concentrating on the light so that she could fill herself with it and merge with the sensation of universal love she felt when meditating.

  • Let us go, he said
  • I am ready but where are we going?
  • To the world in between. It is a continuum of the land of all beginnings so your token will help you get there.

She energised her heart and crown chakras before vibrating her heart to activate the token. The walls dilated and contracted before disappearing altogether. She felt the motion of a joyride as her consciousness slid into the other world. It was like falling endlessly through a well except that she had to steer herself to avoid being sucked into the holes on the sides which lead to nothingness. Horus on the other hand did not need to slide, he simply dematerialised and materialised from one world to another. He halted her consciousness and she slid through a small opening in the spiral. They had reached the world in between and he explained that the children were waiting for them. She steadied herself to get rid of the swaying feeling and looked around. There were at least hundred of them gathered around and slowly moving towards them. She let out a gasp of surprise. These were not any children. They were dragons!
