The drum rolls preceded the fight sound of thunder within the night fireworks infusing the dark light ignition of dome that caves in
Two allies join in Middle Earth ravaging lands unto the firth seeking to establish new hearth perhaps but violence is heard
Kill for kill is set on repeat Some wage wars in pregnant deceit neither faction accepts defeat eye for eye and we all are blind
Alliances lead to new norms society acquires other forms new stances of people in swarms freedom pierces through the black veils

Azam Ali & Loga Ramin Torkian- BARAYE ft. Hamed Nikpay, Mamak Khadem, Arash Avin, Mahsa Ghassemi
Hear now hark
My voice brings lustre
To gateways
Within Earth
Igniting throughout the dark
My body a spark
Surrender
I am stark Angel
Avenger
Rebel son
To the bright seat contender
Holy pretender
I may lean
Both sides admit me
I foster
Renegades
My wings are repelling blades
My sins are washed clean
Reading of the poem:
Shine on bright
shine on me your light
eyes witness
vibrations
they pulse through the throbbing mind
seeping out of lids
The pathways
they twirl and spin on
through neurons
redesigned
in memory cells rewind
black of my matter
Conquering
the new dominions
the lashes
in flashes
set the ground for dilution
integrating me
Reading of the poem:
The down on her lips
bristled at the sight of them
they coloured street lights
Her peach lips curled up
her face mask of amazement
her blushing cheeks taut
Her muscles strained locked
moving into position
her body knelt down
Every fiber lit
she tore through blooming flowers
fresh grass met her feet
She watched them fearful
her cheeks aflush from the run
her hair in cascades
They reached out to her
features glowing in the dark
heads covered in fuzz

Cavernous
shadows sight my eyes
I follow
dark inside
A dialog between us
overcomes cobwebs
Thought expressed
ringing through my head
the message
sits clumsy
an attempt to understand
meanings of half light
Piercing ray
resounding echo
burning through
retina
the stratosphere now reckons
the light spilling fast
Reading of the poem:
In some Muslim countries, the women guilty of adultery or even of having an affair without being married are buried in the ground and stoned with the obvious result being death in most cases. Sickeningly in some countries even the victims of rape may sometimes be sentenced in the same way as adulterers or women having an affair. This poem is written to raise awareness of the conditions under which even a young teenager who would have been free to love in other countries may incur the death penalty and be stoned to death for the “crime” of being caught with her lover in isolation. I chose to accompany this poem with a beautiful video showing elements from the cosmos to emphasize the gulf that separates some people from the vastness of the cosmos.
