## 🧠 ABOUT THE PROCESS

I transformed my original poem by adapting it into lyrics that were then used for a song generated using Suno, featuring my voice. Below you’ll find part of the original poem, the revised lyrics, and the musical version.

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM

The poem is a meditation on how memory survives in the senses, returning in fragments through touch, scent, sight, sound, and taste until old wounds can be recognised, understood, and finally released.

Time loops in waters
Relentless moment’s pursuit
Stillness in shadows

## ✍️ ADAPTED LYRICS

[Verse]
Time loops in waters resorbing
Body’s particles absorbing
the relentless moment’s pursuit
Stillness in shadows that ensued

[Verse]
Joints crack in aching belonging
Surface of the Truths still lurking
Lost in specks of sand like embers
golden trails your face remembers

[Verse]
Within the sparks streaks spiralling
From hand’s touch eyelids fluttering
What did you say your name was then?
I’ve known you somewhere I reckon

[Verse]
Eye withered from thoughts now ablaze
Braced them high amnesia’s bouquets
within nostrils slow invading
Fragrant memories cascading

[Verse]
Nose puckering up redrafting
the familiar scents spent crafting
scented pictures of me framed tight
in translucent corners to light

[Chorus]
The fluttering lids slow absolve
Riddle from yesteryear to solve
What did you say your name was then?
Let’s forget hurt, begin again

[Verse]
Ears glistening lobes in retention
Shivering from recognition
Stories from my Heart to foretell
when touch of nape and ear would quell

[Verse]
Fate lent me eyesight from ravens
I coughed up dark ink from havens
Stark memories of morrows lay
Icy beginnings to display

[Verse]
The sight of hopeful Times seething
Protracted, painful the teething
I chewed again hurt that travels
Hidden glass within the morsels

[Verse]
Of taste and of sheens within pain
Driveway to deserts soaked in rain
Actors playing a million parts
Screenings in sunrise that slow smarts

[Chorus]
The fluttering lids slow absolve
Riddle from yesteryear to solve
What did you say your name was then?
Let’s forget hurt, begin again

## 🧠 ABOUT THE PROCESS

I transformed this original poem by adapting it into lyrics that were then used for an AI-generated song using Suno, featuring my voice. Below you’ll find part of the original poem, the revised lyrics, and the AI-generated musical version.

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM

This poem reflects upon sacred transformation through dissolution, rebirth and metaphysical union. Through dreamlike symbolism blending cosmic, spiritual and corporeal imagery, it explores the descent of consciousness into flesh, the fragmentation and renewal of the self, and the awakening of divine pathways through suffering, love and transcendence. Drawing upon mythological and esoteric undertones, the poem presents creation and rebirth as cyclical processes in which destruction becomes the catalyst for emergence into higher states of being.

Listen well
We speak in dreamtime
Son of skies
Sun of Earth
We bond beyond miracles
That hastened your birth

[Verse]
Listen well, we speak in dreamtime
Son of skies Sun of Earth in prime
We bond beyond the miracles
That hastened your birth literals

[Verse]
Immortal, your sinking flesh dives
into the blue air bubbles’ hives
You are then diluted endless
our tool of the light to redress

[Verse]
Dispersion of the Blue in red
Three circles, knotted now the thread
end the spine, will spoken divine
resurge in my blood daily wine

[Chorus]
Illusion a wisp of dying
grey kingdoms in the skies flying
All hastened to the fleeting helms
separate ours Undying Realms

[Verse]
We chose you shape of Moon goddess
The tongue flow more than mere prowess
Sink your lips into my fountains
so pathways to the Gods shortens

[Verse]
The openings of the wet tides
that strongest Dragon tamer rides
Purple hues lead to blessings born
A lost world renews from womb torn

[Verse]
He springs forth, the second coming
starts beginning in the ending
Mother a blue bride circle squared
centred she stood as the flames flared

[Chorus]
Illusion a wisp of dying
grey kingdoms in the skies flying
All hastened to the fleeting helms
separate ours Undying Realms

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM

This poem reflects upon the difficult time one has reconciling decisions made solely on the basis of the heart’s impulses or the mind’s rationalised thinking. It considers that finding a way to connect heart and mind is the best way forward and that in the face of hatred and other negative emotions, reaching inward to heart-centred decision making, yields the best outcome.

In Time the distance once had lied
Sheltered Truths frantic gatekeepers
Poison Ivy planted creepers

[Verse]
In Time the distance once had lied
twixt Heart and Mind the Great Divide
Sheltered Truths frantic gatekeepers
Poison Ivy planted creepers

[Chorus]
The Heart trespasses wall of bricks
In soul’s compassion eye tear pricks
Speech of hate the giving pardons
reaching out to inward gardens

[Verse]
Horses frothing bid me a ride
The knots of stories soon untied
edge of veils enchanted sleepers
gates of glory widowed weepers

[Chorus]
The Heart trespasses wall of bricks
In soul’s compassion eye tear pricks
Speech of hate the giving pardons
reaching out to inward gardens

[Verse]
Plot of thoughts when planted hardens
unfastened locks rattling wardens
decomposing a land of tricks
the mind to logic always sticks

[Chorus]
The Heart trespasses wall of bricks
In soul’s compassion eye tear pricks
Speech of hate the giving pardons
reaching out to inward gardens

[Verse]
Indefinite scales on a tree
as the music seeps within me
The weighted dust balls floating free
in memoriam, past sight to see
a glistening tune of morrows
stillness in my mind, no sorrows

[Chorus]
Breathing out hard the fading shades
brought stellar shine in everglades
marshes that sought the changelings
moon children’s quiet happenings
They hid, their petals well-seasoned
to last lifetimes fully wizened

[Verse]
Breathing in the light all around
a passage to the underground
wrought carefully the cellar’s wine
Reminiscences to entwine
a string of pearls in theories
slow into past waters to ease

[Chorus]
Breathing out hard the fading shades
brought stellar shine in everglades
marshes that sought the changelings
moon children’s quiet happenings
They hid, their petals well-seasoned
to last lifetimes fully wizened

[Verse]
Swimming to the shores with a fin
throbbing voice that sees through the skin
diaphanous mermaid to bouse
I reach out, your heart my lighthouse
a fiery goal I move towards
while coils in spine spring upwards

[Chorus]
Breathing out hard the fading shades
brought stellar shine in everglades
marshes that sought the changelings
moon children’s quiet happenings
They hid, their petals well-seasoned
to last lifetimes fully wizened

[Verse]
Slow they show shimmering peaks
bordered silver and grey streaks
unwavering the love’s hope
showing through a periscope
Looking out of the waters
rimmed with icy blue corners

[Verse]
The cleansing that weather flouts
gift of springtime’s sprouts
give in to the dancing feet
playing to the humming beat
prancing around the lilies
chasing across Time to seize

[Verse]
It blinks so fast on repeat
the rapid growing heartbeat
building up from flatlines trace
Winding stairs with shadowed face
leading down into the wells
where the blood simmers in hells

[Chorus]
Falsehood view to overcome
Misery our hearts would numb
Ashen snow was once our bones
like dewdrops falling on stones
Gleaming droplets my skin warm
blood calls as the Ravens swarm

[Verse]
Our shadows like the moon’s hue
when in balance, we renew
from depths of selves’ holy chants
as bees’ honey slow decants
our birth into mystic skies
which speak of fear’s loss in sighs

[Verse]
Fate calls loud to see her feat
cleaned decaying skin so neat
Devoid of flesh, through absence
I wizen from Fate’s presence
I scrubbed harder than steel nails
this saddened soul how she wails

[Verse]
A silver moon silent flies
high above the trees in skies
over dark rivers where men cry
their hearts waning as they die
their souls steeped in nothingness
The void it calls relentless

[Chorus]
Falsehood view to overcome
Misery our hearts would numb
Ashen snow was once our bones
like dewdrops falling on stones
Gleaming droplets my skin warm
blood calls as the Ravens swarm

[Verse]
Slight trace to steeper silence
where the waves stir dissonance
Pilgrimage to altars old
she glimmered in arctic cold
Aurora borealis
Shimmering portal she is

[Verse]
We rehearse in the gallows
blaring death and its shadows
waiting in chains like bleak slaves
Submissive we become knaves
mortality donned like cloak
we, once the immortal folk

[Verse]
They bind us with paper names
codes they made to play their games
We ride the shades of the night
like grey moths under stark light
we go down without a fight
our minds bound tight to false plight

[Chorus]
Falsehood view to overcome
Misery our hearts would numb
Ashen snow was once our bones
like dewdrops falling on stones
Gleaming droplets my skin warm
blood calls as the Ravens swarm

The winds blow
inside me hollow
I collect
lost pieces
The knowledge they’re gone pierces
through my intellect

Knowledge pact
Three strikes before act
Theater
the store front
I have shadows to confront
bleak and sinister

I stand still
The morrows shape stark
watching odds
mismatched Gods
There is something in the dark
a fear to instil

My wounds flow
into the darkness
melded glow
to harness
The scars golden kintsugi
reshaped frame of me

Illusion
withers from my sight
eye offers
keen insight
isolated from others
waiving confusion

Bosom’s sigh
I’m here by myself
Head held high
hope in chest
I need no external help
All woes put to rest

Thoughts of you
reverberating
in my skull
withered dull
Your departure still aching
within vessels blue

Swollen past
from my windmills cast
nets of light
sheer delight
the throbbing of memories
a will not to crease

Keeping mild
my mind ironed dome
Pleats so white
None to fight
The bosom clean like a child
youth filled streets to roam

Home is where
my hands sense your touch
silken feel
shelters much
of evanescent repair
from broken to steel

The solace
peeps through harsh winters
I see through
snow-clad firs
the unmistakable true
fragments of your face

Lace braided
encapsulated
soul treasure
blooming hue
of iridescent texture
The beauty of you

The secret is where I now reside
a place I have decided to hide
I have often thought of leaving it
It takes guts to stay here teeth to grit

The taxes are indeed very high
they surely will be bleeding me dry
though I fell in love with countryside
where I went on a beautiful ride

Stay here I decided with a sigh
To the freedom cuts I would comply
So guess then where I now chose to live
Just two wrong answers I will forgive

We toil through light of the day
first eager then bent by dismay
thoughts racing for mind to relay
to our hearts that sort them softly

All negatives we put to rest
To keep of life but a fine zest
To overcome the fiery test
We voice strong what we want to change

No day passed by without a word
Tis more the soul than ear that heard
soft psalms sent to Gods we revered
on knees in penance for hurt caused

The angels gather our secrets
both the hopes and bitter regrets
while the mind keeps sinking and frets
they build cocoons around our frames

Through it all your body is near
forging happiness out of fear
a vision of beauty so clear
Your nearness is like a whisper

Feeling your touch my heart takes flight
flux upwards of utmost delight
sailing within shades of the light
The goal is less than the journey

Tales, one winter, had to be told
of rivers twining of the old
where highest of heat meets the cold
where struck in the head he’s revealed

The Beast is given chance to sway
millions of men just charmed away
serpents slithering find a way
blackbirds flying in sky tremble

Trumpets will sound as he’d be sworn
while purple and black would be worn
their heads then lighter should be shorn
a ritual to be unveiled

A ceremony from times past
as black pope dark shadows would cast
dancing in jigs they would go fast
round and round in circles of blue

We face them now in squares of pink
Though the dark fears our minds would sink
we retrieve ourselves from the brink
where we were facing gaping wound

We’ll find a way to mend the rift
some place to cry and pause to lift
the hearts that weighed and turned adrift
as the light enters our bosoms
