Small forlorn
Within me you lie
A beacon
Of past lights
Wavering in certainties
Like a flame’s flicker
Out of reach
High above my skies
You fly free
Dancing ghost
A party in search of host
Quiet rejoicing
Within breath
Shivering vibrant
You exhale
I inhale
Flooded continuity
Our cycle of life
Out of death
You sway in confines
Wavering
Wandering
Between light hope dark despair
Journeys in spirals
Within speech
You articulate
Your being
Solemn truths
This world cascade of mourning
For your grey demise
Out of mind
Within core of heart
You flutter
Butterfly
The force of fragility
Emblem of freedom
