cold draft stills the mind that seeks
Door ajar to inner sight
a ray pierces through so bright

Dumbstruck, I observe in awe, 
as it shines, translucent, raw
Bathing in its warmth to hail
a lizard stretches its tail

What is lost is found anew

Door closing bathes red stains
from light seeping through tight veins

wings outstretched basking in heat
soaring above Earth departs
Its flight makes mellow my heart
that roared with winter’s approach
Light on darkness to encroach
