Third culture kids

Third culture kids

They call us third culture kids

Every night when we shut our lids

We see a myriad of lovely places

Into our lives have come many faces

♦

Our home is where our heart so bids

Of nostalgia our minds us rids

We are the lone children of tomorrow

Our hearts are full yet free of all sorrow

♦

The world flies by, it spins, it skids

Identity? Mere patch of grids

We are nowhere for we are everywhere

We lie apart, alone; not here nor there
