A roadmap to Bliss
29 November 2015

Above red roses
Where daffodils outreached sun
Inside met outside
Up the lone highway
Winding steep and weightless stones
Coloured bent footpaths
Beside pine trees’ cones
When snow caressed them silent
Shuddering branches

Brink of eagles’ reach
Under rims of silver clouds
Before the rains charged

Into depths of skies
Where bluebells held high their name
Edge of Horizons
Within fluttering
Where tidal winds braced and stole
Vanishing glances
Under still waters
Where hushed Heart painted life

I really enjoy your consistency in making use of the natural world in your poetry, especially flowers, for they epitomize life in all its struggles, fragility and beauty…in this piece the image of clouds charging for rain stands out for rain can both give and take life…as is all your work, this piece is complex, deep, open to interpretation, and beautifully written 🙂
Thank you Thomas. I am assuming you will like Disappearing act
You are welcome…and yes, you assume correctly 😀
