The Human in me
15 December 2015

I move slick
A charm enticing
Your wits weak
My fits seek
In between threads and laces
Convulsion extreme

A tight sip
Like Havana’s blend
Chocolate
Mocha cream
My body exotic dream
For spirit supreme

Body dip
Like the latest trend
Go on let
Senses blur
Instil now breathing spaces
Between love and slur

Robotic
Now switching commands
The whirring
The whining
Undeniably shining
The Human in me

Human Behaviour – Björk
Hyperballad – Björk
All is Love – Björk

I’ve got visions of Blade Runner and Replicants. This, I think, goes well with the longings of the biogenetically engineered people in that movie. Well done, Geetha. 🙂
Thank you Eric. I often Wonder if this will be our future and sometimes I even Wonder if indeed this is not already us and we are just not aware of it 🙂
This is beautiful and reminded me of Bicentennial Man starring Robin Williams…wouldn’t it be nice to be able to find the human inside of us more often?:)
Thank you Thomas :): Yes, it would be definitely nice. Now you got me curious and I will Google Bicentennial Man as I don’t know it.
You are welcome…I hop you watch it; it’s a great film!
That is so cute. I just saw the trailer. It actually showed a lot so I feel like I have now watched it 😀
🙂 the gap between Artificial Intelligence and human behaviour is lessened in this film… it really does get one thinking about the role of AI in the modern world , especially with advances in smart technology
I like the range of traits you include in this poem … each trait you touch on can be seen as a weakness or strength. A very multi-layered approach 🙂
Thank you Raven. How perceptive and wise 🙂
Perceptive and wise describes the poem and the poet – I’m simply observing and commenting on what is already there 😉
Ah ah ah, my compliment was genuine but I just realised how it could be perceived as showering flowers on myself as they say mockingly in french
I never doubted the sincerity of your compliment, I was simply trying to pay you one in return … I definitely did not read into your compliment that you were trying to shower yourself with flowers 🙂
I know, am just pulling your leg and mocking myself 😉
Okay – for a while, I was wondering whether my compliment had somehow turned into an insult … the greatest drawback to the Internet, no facial expressions or vocal intonations to augment the words 😀
No worries. I may miss understanding the first time but I always revisit intentions before and after speaking up 😀
