Understanding the power

Wires cross
in electric fence
The safeguards
at a loss
The blood thickening is dense
from multiple shards

I walk lanes
in darkest of wood
travel light
as I should
The pathway emblem of plight
the sum of my pains

Bloodied stains
Written over me
My feet halt
forcefully
I walk within my remains
sweating blood and salt

My mind rips
a corner of sky
drunk in sips
through my eye
I wage a battle crushing
wayward thoughts rushing

I hear sounds
a meaningful lie
flaunted clear
causing fear
The world tilting as I cry
racing the dark hounds

My heart sighs
misfortune habit
though from pit
new insight
understanding the power
never to cower

In my dreams
the wilderness screams
It pulses
convulses
through ancient time revises
threads of what life is

We were once
breath of warriors
now pale dunce
we relay
a stark falsehood lest we may
break our barriers

Fear to mull
we breed the inept
Tight concept
driven through
generations of split hull
shunning what is true

From ember
I now remember
promises
before Fall
There are reasons to recall
beyond white noises

The throbbing
through dark matter’s ink
leaves my mind
grey yet pink
when the memories rewind
stories for sobbing

The heart yearns
for Adam to wake
sullen turns
grave mistake
I am beyond who is who
still waiting for you

The winds blow
inside me hollow
I collect
lost pieces
The knowledge they’re gone pierces
through my intellect

Knowledge pact
Three strikes before act
Theater
the store front
I have shadows to confront
bleak and sinister

I stand still
The morrows shape stark
watching odds
mismatched Gods
There is something in the dark
a fear to instil

My wounds flow
into the darkness
melded glow
to harness
The scars golden kintsugi
reshaped frame of me

Illusion
withers from my sight
eye offers
keen insight
isolated from others
waiving confusion

Bosom’s sigh
I’m here by myself
Head held high
hope in chest
I need no external help
All woes put to rest

Thoughts of you
reverberating
in my skull
withered dull
Your departure still aching
within vessels blue

Swollen past
from my windmills cast
nets of light
sheer delight
the throbbing of memories
a will not to crease

Keeping mild
my mind ironed dome
Pleats so white
None to fight
The bosom clean like a child
youth filled streets to roam

Home is where
my hands sense your touch
silken feel
shelters much
of evanescent repair
from broken to steel

The solace
peeps through harsh winters
I see through
snow-clad firs
the unmistakable true
fragments of your face

Lace braided
encapsulated
soul treasure
blooming hue
of iridescent texture
The beauty of you

A surprise
tugs at my eyelids
widened bright
second sight
glosses over as world skids
my pupils’ sunrise

Unfair choice
the fear in flashes
Now rejoice
we will sway
The will and heart cease clashes
The soul mends the way

To amend
ways of heart to fix
rise higher
as phoenix
I am reborn through fire
The mind I transcend

Treetops knelt
within ashen skies
the hurt pelt
from the lies
our limbs shivering retired
from bosom that tired

Hark listen
the heart will glisten
when the trees
take a fall
Tis a winter to recall
as the pain will ease

Tall are dreams
etched within the streams
of bluebells’
fading knells
My feet set firm on the ground
the key I have found

Manifest
The dark throngs await
Fear to hold
Tales untold
I have more to me than weight
creative mind zest

Images
birth me stellar sights
Inside me
the insights
Alternate reality
I burn no bridges

Stories tell
Truth of our great minds
The whirring
us reminds
of our features which glowing
other lies dispel

We are tall
Like evergreen trees
Predators
make us small
When the fears we slow release
we are creators

My skin’s fur
rises at its touch
The panic
starts to stir
I know not what became her
Fusion erratic

Metallic
voice gains momentum
my heart beats
like a drum
the dark steely voice repeats
a note so tragic

The steel rods
I feel them begin
wayward touch
Gentle prods
piercing my delicate skin
they fold down and clutch

Progress stalls
soul other recalls
Brightened flare
my eyes blinds
My heart memories rewinds
before lightning glare

Body melts
Her carcass slow welds
flesh and steel
as I kneel
Knee on Earth not submission
acknowledged mission

We are one
Painted veils fly blue
Red remains
colour due
A spell to replicate sun
from the purple stains

Plaintive cry
escapes my dry lips
The past hums
in my ears
I have taken all my fears
laid them as he quips

The lesson
a repeated sound
through rumble
I listen
to the snarling ruddy hound
guts to assemble

My lover
walks a fading line
twixt borders
sleek pristine
He takes me from all regret
Heart to never fret

While mind flies
my dragon king sighs
As he grows
so do I
I touch upon highest sky
Twined outcomes he sows

Come hither
See my eyes stay wide
By new laws
I abide
Escaping the wolf pack’ jaws
I retrieve feathers

Earth stands still
as I remove traps
The children
grow in laps
of mothers of tomorrow
from peace they instil

Hearts turn whole
from the healing touch
all dangers
lose their clutch
As I weave the coded rhyme
I stand tall through time
