Blending spiritual symbolism with reflections on time, memory and renewal, this song explores the delicate space between fear and faith. Rivers, gardens and growing seedlings become emblems of transformation as the traveller moves through darkness towards light. Touching on moments where past, present and future seem to converge, it celebrates the steady courage needed to continue the journey and trust in the promise of new growth.

Shadows slant
Towards the Rivers
The hands plant
Morrows growth
The candles renew the Oath
Shedding the darkness

[Verse]
Shadows slant towards the Rivers
shedding darkness as it withers
The hands plant seeds for morrows growth
The bright candles renew the Oath

[Verse]
I bring Sight of Timeless Future
where we talk seedlings to nurture
More than just Jack and the Beanstalk
Pathways to Heavens where we’ll walk

[Chorus]
Steady is measured footstep’s pace
We reach the Gardens, all is Grace
They whisper “Walk inside the Light”
Show face in Faith rekindled bright

[Verse]
Flight to day within brittle bones
transforms me as light within hones
I gather compound the raw fears
daily inaction, lake of tears

[Verse]
They speak Morse, their signals blinding
Contrasting powers, terse binding
Nighttime cries within Soul that sighs
to Peaks of Darkness they will rise

[Chorus]
Steady is measured footstep’s pace
We reach the Gardens, all is Grace
They whisper “Walk inside the Light”
Show face in Faith rekindled bright

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM

Set against a city of shifting tales and glittering illusions, this song explores the fragile boundary between admiration and deception. Through images of fading kingdoms, ravens, blood-red plains and shimmering gold, it reflects on the distortions of memory, the seduction of vanity, and the hidden costs of misplaced trust. Part remembrance, part reckoning, it follows the lingering echoes of a relationship whose beauty and darkness became woven too closely together.

Spoken thoughts
Saturating words
They misspell
Past intent
Agony souls underwent
Disdain bleak feature

[Verse]
Disdain bleak feature of the herds
spoken thoughts saturating words
They often misspell past intent
all agony souls underwent

[Verse]
City of tales bent finding how
dark creature lies a solemn vow
Middle Earth become its fiefdom
stark shades of the greying kingdom

[Chorus]
Your shimmer rivalling with gold
Iridescent frame, standing bold
on the brink of vanity’s hold
Shuddering naked tale foretold

[Verse]
Memory thickens the whirlpools
Amnesia’s work its daily tools
The heart spent in rivers of woe
as heartbeats’ quiver unwinds slow

[Verse]
Plains awash with red of the blood
curdling loss of life, the eyes flood
Expunged in the shining pearl’s white
the drops wild scatter through the night

[Verse]
We will meet when the ravens crow
through midnight’s call vibrating slow
When early rays summon eyes’ sight
to twinkling mornings past the light

[Chorus]
Your shimmer rivalling with gold
Iridescent frame, standing bold
on the brink of vanity’s hold
Shuddering naked tale foretold

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM

Woven from memory, symbolism and lived experience, this song explores the hidden connections between past wounds and future becoming. Through images of moonlit waters, shifting colours, childhood sketches and distant stars, it traces a journey across love, alienation, loss and transformation. As fragments once scattered begin to reconnect, sorrow itself becomes part of a larger pattern, revealing the possibility of renewal within the landscapes of memory.

Do you see
The falling memories
They build lakes
Steeped in blue
The hue of moonshine
She and I were two

[Verse]
Do you see the falling memories?
They build lakes hue of moonshine frees
Steeped in blue, she and I were two
To opposite corners we flew

[Verse]
Did you know, inevitable
Red meets blue and the tunes purple
Fusion of the phoenix flashes
birth crimson, rising from ashes

[Verse]
Child in me picks up drawing ink
Squaring planes, circles twined that sink
the slits into the soul once torn
Profusion of connections drawn

[Verse]
You are blind, like we were once deaf
Our worlds shut firm like a tight breath
exhaling from compressed lips pursed
Landscapes of sorrow for accursed

[Chorus]
Do you see the wasted morrows
Swarms of bees suckling pristine rose
They sink ships within hidden hues
inducing sprouting of my Blues

[Verse]
The silence, communication
all dead words of alienation
My dark shadows now lost in cloud
Nine a mere number in white shroud

[Verse]
In your mind your thoughts roam alone
muddled in concrete, path of stone
The highways grey crumbs left behind
bricks for the tender, ropes for blind

[Verse]
Trick or treat? Guessing overstayed
Time precious often underpaid
Ticks sucking red drops of life browse
amusement parks themes to espouse

[Verse]
Dark playgrounds, I seldom choose black
Foot ventures not on a dead track
yet may slip, misplaced wandering
through circles full and shapes curving

[Chorus]
Do you see the wasted morrows
Swarms of bees suckling pristine rose
They sink ships within hidden hues
inducing sprouting of my Blues

[Verse]
Truth and lies rapid doubts impose
Tilting sceneries wilting rose
Proximity’s timed right playthings
uncovered stuffed toys for musings

[Verse]
Revered distant star, bask in light
Guide our steps through North, twinkle bright
Six blue feet under, lost the fight
We honour your corpse buried tight

[Verse]
Thieves plunder jewels of your chest
Cast a spell, the walls hearts arrest
between words plastered and song spell
haul more, exhibit, show and tell

[Verse]
Hymns for the dead clues for the child
imagination running wild
Clock ticks, talks, language spelt or read
My aim is to keep a clear head

[Chorus]
Do you see the wasted morrows
Swarms of bees suckling pristine rose
They sink ships within hidden hues
inducing sprouting of my Blues

[Verse]
Words carry weight of heavy hearts
weaving the pain and hope in arts
Of the spoken thought woven rhymes
empty space, deconstructed times

[Verse]
We forgot the yarn spread inward
Bit by bit, redesigning worlds
The spinning wheel turning so slow
built upon the vanishing glow

[Verse]
We once lived in a land of wood
Time gushed peeling skin that was spewed
Broken staff pointed to the hours
sprouting from within realms of scars

[Chorus]
Morning star, it buds within me
Rising light carries me so free
Into meadows of morrows sighs
Where deep and clean, forgiveness lies

[Verse]
We loved once, Book of faith and glee
Christened, reeling in waters spree
I washed the Hearts, laundered the souls
Dark matter heaved amassed like coals

[Verse]
Piling black, capping me like dunce
Triangles compressing me once
into angles, my roundness squared
Ray meets Pi, shadows death ensnared

[Verse]
I squeeze hard repressing contours
On love’s path, we oft take detours
The walk on circumference lasts
Greater journey into the vasts

[Chorus]
Morning star, it buds within me
Rising light carries me so free
Into meadows of morrows sighs
Where deep and clean, forgiveness lies

[Verse]
The falling leaves crackle so slight
Their voices echo of my plight
As they hit the ground to remind
of resounding thud in my mind
The shrieking sound of decibels
speaks of now reaching new levels

[Chorus]
Drops of water call frame that hangs
Sweet thunder in the making clangs
The Earth speaks loud, clear, to my need
says listen to the voice; I heed
In looming raindrops sheen I bathed
for with spirit, I walk unscathed

[Verse]
Melting summer heat’s corrosion
Sets free air in the horizon
where earthly ground meets bluest skies
where the outcome all rules defies
As the push furthers the pull, whole
lower stance breeds a higher soul

[Verse]
Scorching sun beams down on prairies
where the mind is lost on fairies
With scarce summer breeze now hissing
Soundless voices speak low wissing
Mind in stillness hears better clue
old vows in contract now renew

[Chorus]
Drops of water call frame that hangs
Sweet thunder in the making clangs
The Earth speaks loud, clear, to my need
says listen to the voice; I heed
In looming raindrops sheen I bathed
for with spirit I walk unscathed

Golden steel shines at heel drowning
in water that is ankle deep

[Verse]
Fruit of loins, baskets plentiful

Morrows promises, green in hue

[Chorus]
We juggle solitary spoils
Uprooted from the burning coils
When the fires invade the trees
the sudden burning of roots frees

[Verse]
They depart like the rolling stones
and carve pathways in waters’ tones
Downhill slide, they are left to glide
gasping fast, unbridled their ride

[Verse]
Ebb and flow of Love, like the tide
sporadic in touch, side by side
Wandering slow, face reaching back
when the storms turn the skies pitch black

We juggle solitary spoils
Uprooted from the burning coils
When the fires invade the trees
the sudden burning of roots frees

Measured, calm, beings of soul live

## 🧠 ABOUT THE PROCESS

I transformed my original poem by adapting it into lyrics that were then used for a song generated using Suno, featuring my voice. Below you’ll find part of the original poem, the revised lyrics, and the musical version.

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM

The poem is a meditation on how memory survives in the senses, returning in fragments through touch, scent, sight, sound, and taste until old wounds can be recognised, understood, and finally released.

Time loops in waters
Relentless moment’s pursuit
Stillness in shadows

## ✍️ ADAPTED LYRICS

[Verse]
Time loops in waters resorbing
Body’s particles absorbing
the relentless moment’s pursuit
Stillness in shadows that ensued

[Verse]
Joints crack in aching belonging
Surface of the Truths still lurking
Lost in specks of sand like embers
golden trails your face remembers

[Verse]
Within the sparks streaks spiralling
From hand’s touch eyelids fluttering
What did you say your name was then?
I’ve known you somewhere I reckon

[Verse]
Eye withered from thoughts now ablaze
Braced them high amnesia’s bouquets
within nostrils slow invading
Fragrant memories cascading

[Verse]
Nose puckering up redrafting
the familiar scents spent crafting
scented pictures of me framed tight
in translucent corners to light

[Chorus]
The fluttering lids slow absolve
Riddle from yesteryear to solve
What did you say your name was then?
Let’s forget hurt, begin again

[Verse]
Ears glistening lobes in retention
Shivering from recognition
Stories from my Heart to foretell
when touch of nape and ear would quell

[Verse]
Fate lent me eyesight from ravens
I coughed up dark ink from havens
Stark memories of morrows lay
Icy beginnings to display

[Verse]
The sight of hopeful Times seething
Protracted, painful the teething
I chewed again hurt that travels
Hidden glass within the morsels

[Verse]
Of taste and of sheens within pain
Driveway to deserts soaked in rain
Actors playing a million parts
Screenings in sunrise that slow smarts

[Chorus]
The fluttering lids slow absolve
Riddle from yesteryear to solve
What did you say your name was then?
Let’s forget hurt, begin again
