## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM

I seize the night sky looks back upon periods when the self was labelled and interpreted through the eyes of others. Beneath imposed narratives and the weight of what was lost, another truth quietly endured. Strength became backbone, memory became perspective, and love remained a measure of what could not be razed. The poem reclaims the freedom to define oneself beyond the labels as the wings are never truly lost and the night sky remains there to be seized.

It started
when they constrained me
they harboured
brittle talks
It is within our own walks
that we are steady

It is within our own long walks 
that we are peaceful and steady 
all started when they constrained me

Bear no spate, every tongue too weak 
to relate to what we may speak 
Strength hidden within our backbone
Endurance only skill to hone

They drown me within scores of sheets 
My name tag plastered, it repeats 
Foe within chest as I gag slow
spewing remedy I swallowed

Speak to me of sighs in bosom 
Opening my blue wings to fly 
soaring free, I seize the night sky

My chest weighs a hundred kisses
Everything that my heart misses 
that their henchmen raze like feather 
while I dwell in moss and heather

Levelled grounds witness the lost heights 
steer off sounds within dire straits 
Composure of the lost powers 
Proverbial plunge from high towers
