## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM
Runner in the Rye is a journey through illusion towards awakening. Blending earthly imagery with celestial symbolism, it explores the search for harmony, reminding us that true consciousness emerges not through division, but through integration, compassion and the quiet courage to keep seeking the light.
Heavens reach Fake truth to impeach Snakes that preach Bosoms breach Stories old teachers will teach The sands on the beach
[Verse] Heavens reach, fake truth to impeach The snakes that preach our bosoms breach Stories wise old teachers will teach now scattered like sands on the beach
[Chorus] Reaching sky, welding through the Eye Chests that sigh watch the kites that fly Restored through brink of lullaby the fleeting Runner in the rye
[Verse] Tears and scars, redeeming what’s ours Bending the Stars while twining Mars Holding still pulsating powers we write within the darkest hours
[Verse] Guides walk with us bearing lanterns We follow as throbbing heart yearns for knowledge that in our souls burns casts away the Earth-bound sojourns
[Chorus] Reaching sky, welding through the Eye Chests that sigh watch the kites that fly Restored through brink of lullaby the fleeting Runner in the rye

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM
Days turn into years as we gather treasures, lineage and dreams of tomorrow. Yet what we cling to can become the roots that bind us. A reflection on the cycles of attachment, loss and the strange freedom found when life's fires force us to let go.
Cycles start Within the days count Sundays end In Mondays Twirling through Fridays tolling To days of the King
[Verse] Cycles start within the days count Sundays end in Mondays, surmount Twirling through the Fridays tolling to the gilded days of the King
[Verse] Hidden coins, Treasure my crowning Golden steel shines at heel drowning in water that is ankle deep from the weaknesses that we keep
[Verse] Fruit of loins, baskets plentiful Chosen few features beautiful Morrows promises, green in hue ripened by the sun and the dew
[Chorus] We juggle solitary spoils Uprooted from the burning coils When the fires invade the trees the sudden burning of roots frees
[Verse] They depart like the rolling stones and carve pathways in waters’ tones Downhill slide, they are left to glide gasping fast, unbridled their ride
[Verse] Ebb and flow of Love, like the tide sporadic in touch, side by side Wandering slow, face reaching back when the storms turn the skies pitch black
[Chorus] We juggle solitary spoils Uprooted from the burning coils When the fires invade the trees the sudden burning of roots frees

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM
The poem is a meditation on how memory survives in the senses, returning in fragments through touch, scent, sight, sound, and taste until old wounds can be recognised, understood, and finally released.
Time loops in waters Relentless moment’s pursuit Stillness in shadows
[Verse] Time loops in waters resorbing Body’s particles absorbing the relentless moment’s pursuit Stillness in shadows that ensued
[Verse] Joints crack in aching belonging Surface of the Truths still lurking Lost in specks of sand like embers golden trails your face remembers
[Verse] Within the sparks streaks spiralling From hand’s touch eyelids fluttering What did you say your name was then? I’ve known you somewhere I reckon
[Verse] Eye withered from thoughts now ablaze Braced them high amnesia’s bouquets within nostrils slow invading Fragrant memories cascading
[Verse] Nose puckering up redrafting the familiar scents spent crafting scented pictures of me framed tight in translucent corners to light
[Chorus] The fluttering lids slow absolve Riddle from yesteryear to solve What did you say your name was then? Let’s forget hurt, begin again
[Verse] Ears glistening lobes in retention Shivering from recognition Stories from my Heart to foretell when touch of nape and ear would quell
[Verse] Fate lent me eyesight from ravens I coughed up dark ink from havens Stark memories of morrows lay Icy beginnings to display
[Verse] The sight of hopeful Times seething Protracted, painful the teething I chewed again hurt that travels Hidden glass within the morsels
[Verse] Of taste and of sheens within pain Driveway to deserts soaked in rain Actors playing a million parts Screenings in sunrise that slow smarts
[Chorus] The fluttering lids slow absolve Riddle from yesteryear to solve What did you say your name was then? Let’s forget hurt, begin again

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM
Set in the twilight between what was and what is becoming, this poem traces a journey of inner transformation. Wings heal, hidden codes unravel, and the self is reforged through struggle and revelation. Guided by an inner voice that chooses creation over conflict, it celebrates the quiet alchemy that turns hardship into beauty and gives rise to a new way of seeing the world.
They beat fast The heart’s pulsations At the throat Like a bird When the clipped wings have grown back First flight to freedom
[Verse] They beat fast the heart’s pulsations at the throat, like bird’s convulsions When clipped wings have lastly grown back first flight to freedom from closed track
[Verse] Twenty-three pairs now unfolding coils floating, twisting and turning The changes, they don’t come easy forging another one leesy
[Chorus] Within the twilight unfolding Like a novel of Sir Golding The true heart sees all that begins Rebirth out of lies, wager wins
[Verse] Decoded secrets of my spine Time for peace not war I opine cast skirmishes as I retreat Talk wonders in the surging heat
[Verse] I am sword forged in cool iron Liquefied Blue matter to turn weapon through my cutting edges beaten white upon life’s ridges
[Verse] Create word says my inner voice The poet composes all joys From gutter makes bed of roses content that beauty imposes
[Chorus] Within the twilight unfolding Like a novel of Sir Golding The true heart sees all that begins Rebirth out of lies, wager wins

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM
This poem reflects upon how corrupt and oppressive systems of power may distort beauty, silence compassion and destroy the vulnerable under the guise of order and authority. Through imagery of ruins, memory and spiritual exhaustion, it explores the decay left behind by such structures and the emotional cost of confronting them. The poem ultimately suggests that true resistance does not arise through blind fury, but through the preservation of inner truth, remembrance and spiritual integrity amidst collective collapse.
Blue ribbons Hang from the dark skies As the rains Fill the plains With the remains of seasons Spent in wasted stance
[Verse] Blue ribbons hang from the dark skies I ease out from them all the lies while the remains of seasons rains spent in wasted stance fill the plains
[Verse] As the rising sun shone brightly upon the yards now unsightly Plush meadows once breathed laughter’s lines a blossom of graves in confines
[Verse] They built caves within heathen grounds Their battlefields red, released hounds All fury hurled upon the weak their dark kings grovel as we speak
[Verse] As the black tides sweep high above Chime and chime again pealing love The bells ring for you, newly wed The cries to bring out the new dead
[Chorus] Crystalline drops that would take us gathering the pieces of us united to where we belong They sing loud and clear the Swan Song
[Verse] Daily sustenance put to rest Soul weakening in house arrest The moonbeams sit tight, hush its screams It wanes, withers but for dark dreams
[Verse] Lily white, the waking penance My shrill mind in slow resonance where I talk within daylight broad where I walk with the sleeping horde
[Verse] Iron rod piercing my ribcage They seek more rage through the outrage The body feels, the mind repeals the soul mere stillness, all reveals
[Verse] Walk along, I will recount lives my mouth a brush stroke that describes From the deep wells I draw splendours filling you with the lost wonders
[Verse] We relive many lost embers The frail heart beating remembers feelings more than just brief memoirs Lives lived not stories for boudoirs
[Chorus] Crystalline drops that would take us gathering the pieces of us united to where we belong They sing loud and clear the Swan Song

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM
This poem reflects upon the importance of adopting a balanced path in order to avoid extremes that may ultimately become spiritually and emotionally corrosive. It explores how excessive reliance on intellectual rigidity may lead to harshness and disconnection and instead calls for greater alignment with the heart’s guidance. In doing so, it suggests that only through this inner realignment may one truly meet another with openness, sincerity and the right intent.
Meet me at stark midnight when the ravens are high The tides walk my footsteps on a ravenous ledge Where the dark meets the light on neither ground nor sky Where the talk slips from preps gone to school of the edge
[Verse] Meet me at stark midnight when the ravens are high where the dark meets the light on neither ground nor sky The tides walk my footsteps on a ravenous ledge where the talk slips from preps gone to school of the edge
[Verse] The clueless will flounder their thin minds a sheer fall Thickets a dire pounder no deep grasp to recall In brinks of no longer within a troubled sleep Their greed getting stronger as the walls set so steep
[Chorus] Show me the avenues that carry your heart’s mine I will gather you dews from all morrows rainshine When we meet in July earthly vows will restart You will find that our souls all new meanings impart
[Verse] Relinquish the doorways what goes in will come out The caves flourish subways from bare digging we flout The will is in heartpath not within steely mind Brittle veins in bloodbath as hearts open, they grind
[Chorus] Show me the avenues that carry your heart’s mine I will gather you dews from all morrows rainshine When we meet in July earthly vows will restart You will find that our souls all new meanings impart

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM
This poem reflects upon tango, in its original and deeply connected form, as a catalyst for inner alignment, centring and reconnection with the self and the inner observer. Through movement, rhythm and emotional attunement between partners, the dance becomes a shared space of presence and transformation. The poem also draws a subtle parallel between tango and Sufi whirling: while Sufi whirling seeks transcendence through solitary rotation and spiritual surrender, tango achieves a similar state through the union, balance and shared turning of two intertwined beings.
Brushed aside Like the dust in piles Covering Smothering Shake it off briskly step out Tango to Centre
[Verse] Prepare self like a swan to glide memories cobwebs brushed aside Like the dust in piles covering eyes and mouths slowly smothering Shake it off briskly and step out Tango to Centre drawn without
[Verse] Raked raw the prongs seeping through translucent shining skin’s blue hue Rid yourself of the iron clasps as dance begins the lady gasps echoes of sound seep into skin Tango to Centre drawn within
[Verse] They lay claims on the waist thimble Partner a male choice, feet nimble Rally to create connection a slight pulse for the direction music picks up as bodies turn Tango to Centre that hearts yearn
[Chorus] Inner worlds revealed through whirling Like twins the Spirits keep twirling Deepest embrace with skin on skin So pleasantly paired, cheek on chin The feet conjoined can never part Tango to Centre stored in heart
[Verse] Twirling world building from chaos In the tanda move tangueros Hurtling through all the confusion dance in heart through the illusion the eyes meeting holding the stare Tango to Centre spreading bare
[Verse] Threefold aims written in the book Ladies’ heads in the male neck’s nook They follow softly, their gait slight Their steps scribble on the page white a flurry of inky black words Tango to Centre with the birds
[Chorus] Inner worlds revealed through whirling Like twins the Spirits keep twirling Deepest embrace with skin on skin So pleasantly paired, cheek on chin The feet conjoined can never part Tango to Centre stored in heart

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM
This poem considers a world where love and truth are mistaken for weakness, and the alter ego that forms when one cannot reconcile such a world with their own principles.
She was freed Twice in a neat row The bluebirds They sang so Their beaks memories of honey The bees had gathered
[Verse] She was freed twice in a neat row The bluebirds, they always sang so their beaks memories of honey the bees had gathered in plenty I flew high keeping company with her wings’ leading symphony We move in skies with pale phantoms The moon witness to lost anthems
[Verse] We all die before we can live but desolation I forgive My years stretch into skies’ rainbows yet my heart loves Earth’s green meadows As with just sleeping, beauty fades We may exchange the hearts for spades breathe within shadows, count the cost yet the true love is never lost
[Chorus] Fleeting Time, I gather in hands rubbing oil through snakes’ kin’s demands filtered true which people think false the best hiding place for all faults Falsehoods hide under Veil so thin they are targets floating within We discover but what we choose the rest we give up and let loose
[Verse] The night’s kiss, a tale of lovers A story of darkened clovers now clubbed to death by the wit game In love we sometimes place the shame Nothing moves as I face winds still just sit around my window sill The wind is dead cold, the breath warm I gaze and feel the tired bees swarm
[Verse] Flies hover, suspended wings gleam Tomorrows sullen noise may seem Picking up the new mornings din I imbibe it, soak it in skin It vibrates, snakes crawl up my spine the sun troubling the dream divine We were free once upon a rhyme when teeth clicked tight shut against dime
[Chorus] Fleeting Time, I gather in hands rubbing oil through snakes’ kin’s demands filtered true which people think false the best hiding place for all faults Falsehoods hide under Veil so thin they are targets floating within We discover but what we choose the rest we give up and let loose

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM
This poem contrasts two different types of faith with one being that which only speaks of the punishment for “sinners” while the other, to which I subscribe, sees us as children of God who loves us despite our weaknesses and calls for us to give of ourselves to help the downtrodden with all resources we can afford dedicating to this venture.
They speak fast Of fires of hell Chiming bell Lost players For who rings the fated knell They quake in questions
[Verse] They speak fast of fires of hell lost players with their chiming bell For who would ring the fated knell? They quake in questions to foretell
Preachers spit venom from black souls speeches reduced to pits and coals All dark stirred up without the love stark favoured, forgotten the dove
Caving in the engine falters they blend words and swords the slayers Practicing weapons, a fine art never to reach the divine start
Whispering slowly lost prayers Foregoing realms of green altars Beckoning to the sacrifice readied now my bosom to slice
Piece me meals in temples of greed You were born sprightly Swallow’s creed Migration within you a seed of moving morrows to concede
Drink my blood I am son of none Sun’s first born, Moon’s daughter spun You sip of me in dark laughter Sorrow’s canticles thereafter
I listen to neither thunders nor do I hark to harsh wonders Hear never the whispers are soft Growing Heavens within me waft
