The road to a brighter future

The Grey reached into our mindscapes
revealing what lay under drapes
a reality one escapes
a minefield of degradation

They would treat us just like cattle
wayward tribe to push and rattle
our daily life turned a battle
to be, not survive, endless chore

Fortitude became my treasure
I gathered with utmost pleasure
more of heart than I could measure
its essence made me more aware

I ventured into dark alleys
brought the people into rallies
watched them go aboard the galleys
there seemed to be no end to it

A journey back into time past
brought me solace I hoped would last
though shadows on my soul it cast
some sensation from it lingered

This was a victory to take
a comfort for our race to make
a way to lift the burning ache 
the road to a brighter future

Strange feeling

Floating in limbo

Connected

Caring strong

For the tribes where we belong

Intricate crisscross

 

Sense of loss

The bosom a rock

Twining strength

With frailty

To have and never to keep

Fluttering yet deep

 

Maidens weep

While the knights battle

Humans then

Or cattle

The answer is suspended

In between the breaths

 

Quest ended

Beginning in end

Unending

Curtain falls

Encore says the crowd cheering

For a new replay

 

Lost in hay

The needle of hope

The three Norns

Threading bare

Precision of unkempt hair

Fate chance encounter

 

Sensations

Fluctuating point

Limbs collate

At the joint

Emotions bubbles in air

Love fear joy despair

 

Multiple

The forces at work

Patchwork feel

Divine quirk

The chore handed down with smirk

Opposing contracts

 

Cast me net

The fish are lively

Their gills shine

Mirth divine

Repopulate holy shrine

Phosphorescent nests

 

Conflicting

Energies shift fast

Faith steadfast

Touched untouched

All is in blink of the eye

Peace profound balance

Once upon a time

An ark gathered them by pairs

Two of each soul tribe

 

Look upon the sets

Playground built itself child’s needs

Love grows but in Heart

 

Groomed but not by spouse

White brides will turn black widows

Creeping through undead

 

Shifted from axis

The Great Mother spun astray

Distances melted

 

Minds transform liquids

Only salt for scorching spared

Greed bred Life’s meltdown

 

We shall meet fires

With our essence of waters

As they flow fluid

 

Gushing from pure souls

Salvation came from Heart’s tears

Love was only chance
