## 🧠 ABOUT THE PROCESS

I transformed my original poem by adapting it into lyrics that were then used for a song generated using Suno, featuring my voice. Below you’ll find part of the original poem, the revised lyrics, and the musical version.

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM

There are moments when life leaves us scattered—our thoughts like ash, our hopes buried beneath dust, and our hearts searching for the warmth they once knew. Yet beneath every layer of grey, a quiet ember waits. Scattered breath is about gathering what has been broken, rediscovering the breath that binds us together, and finding that even after loss, the smallest spark can still illuminate the way forward.

Does it speak
Of broken morrows
The stilled mind
Chilling Heart
Polar experiences
Lurking in the dark

## ✍️ ADAPTED LYRICS

[Verse]
Does it speak of broken morrows
The stilled mind chilling Heart’s sorrows
Polar experiences stark
lurking insidiously in dark

[Verse]
A life pressed in blue still rages
I gather twigs and worn pages
All fire warmth gives chimneys smoke
small fading thoughts that I invoke

[Verse]
What once could have been, mind smashes
I blow hard rekindling ashes
Under the grey simmers Red seed
as volcanic eruptions bleed

[Chorus]
Scattered breath gathers me within
Chest heaving, Soul cleaving so thin
The Remnants of threads strewn across
expanding Rosary and cross

[Verse]
There is dust on my fingertips
The raging winds that the mouth quips
lift but the blinding spent quick sands
leaving million heart understands

[Verse]
I shake snow in glass of seconds
White my slate, empty store mind bends
There is nothing within slain grains
No yeast to raise bread just bleak stains

[Verse]
Dancing queen shimmers with the shake
Garden leaves flutter as I rake
With the lost stories my chest heaves
Untold for undead that soul grieves

[Chorus]
Scattered breath gathers me within
Chest heaving, Soul cleaving so thin
The Remnants of threads strewn across
expanding Rosary and cross

## 🧠 ABOUT THE PROCESS

I transformed my original poem by adapting it into lyrics that were then used for a song generated using Suno, featuring my voice. Below you’ll find part of the original poem, the revised lyrics, and the musical version.

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM

Ashes for daughters is a lament for mothers whose lives have been reduced to survival by war. Inspired primarily by the tragedy unfolding in Palestine yet echoing countless conflicts where civilians bear the heaviest burden, the song is not about armies or politics, but about human loss. Through the eyes of one woman carrying grief, memory and an unbroken maternal love, it gives voice to those who continue walking despite the ashes around them with the hope that one day the cycle of war will end.

She walks slow
life bundled on back
Agony
her fiefdom,
mind scattered throughout waters,
thoughts a procession

## ✍️ ADAPTED LYRICS

[Verse]
She walks slow, life bundled on back
Agony her fiefdom, so black
Mind scattered throughout the waters,
thoughts a procession that falters

[Verse]
They deal blow never cut her slack
Trinity not random, to stack
Houses flaming as their hearts lurch
Children’s school, hospital and church

[Chorus]
Two may die. May they ever live
for their fathers’ tales to forgive
She cries as her lung deep inhales
ashes for daughters as she wails

[Verse]
She faces it with beaten brow
Heart crushed though face never to bow
In her soul lights a burning fire
Orphaned twin stokes fleeting desire

[Chorus]
Two may die. May they ever live
for their fathers’ tales to forgive
She cries as her lung deep inhales
ashes for daughters as she wails

The God of small Miracles

The God of small Miracles

3 November 2017

Deconstruct

Current thought process

Unwind mind

Child remind

Inner being you will find

Playing with the clay

End dismay

Emerge from ashes

Old renew

Young to spew

From fountains gushing anew

The selected few

Embrace it

Just drop the questions

Ne’er ask why

Nor ask how

The God of small Miracles

Shimmers in the now

Dans la gloire qui périt dans les cendres de nos urnes / In glory perishing in ashes of our urns

From the moon we now see clusters of dark faces

Thousand plains erected like a silvery flag

From the vein we will wipe a criss-cross of red tears

Weakness castigated pale pathway travelled through

The morrows that we flee, patchwork of cross stitches

From these pages written in memories displayed

On cava vein let’s press the sweet hearts abrasion

The directed vaulting into the winding cliffs

Harvest me from abyss in the desolate lands

When the night will darken in the nocturnal thoughts

From our sublime memories in lone peninsulas

Revive glimmer that shines in our diurnal jolts

Rise of old mountain tops in the staggered terrains

In glory perishing in ashes of our urns

We gather

Sceneries in woods

Of the mind

That remind

Of days gone by walking through

The thick and the thin

Like gardens

Hanging on the edge

Of a cliff

Amidst riff

Panoramic views submerge

Growing of the urge

Oblivion

An eight letter word

Becomes herd

That refrain

From the expression of pain

Their bodies corpses

The dark crawl

Dead embers ashes

Light flashes

Not within

Their lack of feelings akin

To breath of undead

Sorrowed lead

Plastered smiles in white

The empaths

Faith in light

Keeping Hope through Times that smite

Words that decompose

Recompose

Splinters of the Heart

There are ways

Etched in Soul

Knowledge of how you are whole

Beyond the fences

Snowfall streaks

Remnants of ashes

Softly fall

Like garlands

Forming on my face islands

Of memories of you

Snowfall speaks

Bitter reckonings

Dissolved slow

In passing

The Time wound back trespassing

The unholy gates

Snowfall reeks

Of unwritten rhyme

Hours spent

Pantomime

Desecrating unseen strings

Renewing the wings

Words unsaid

Piling up like coals

Fueling

Inner fire

Consumption consequence dire

Straight repercussions

Melodies

Fine tailored dresses

To robe hearts

Like sleek glove

Flicker to ignite the love

Smoldering ashes

The wind blows

On inner remains

All that’s left

Are the stains

Of memories of what was

Of what could have been

Letting go

A process of jumps

Athletic

High low games

Sinking soaring that one tames

Walking middle way

The light talks

Through spotless center

Bear with me

As I read

Through its intricate wonder

I sense its pulses

Flickering

Under my eyelids

Space alive

With photons

Retina catching signals

The passage of sunken Time

The passage of sunken Time

Scorching skies

Lighting up the night

Blazing warmth

Red heavens

Colours fusing in opposed

One and Contrary

Life arbitrary

Chancing upon smoke

Smoldering

Ashes strewn

Within the logs that we poke

Memories of havens

Black ravens

Announce the coals’ path

Floundering

Souls in flight

Flames licking as they quiver

Suspended visions

Revisions

Crossing out the tides

Backward seas

Stenciled hope

Carbon copy as I grope

In empty insides

The ice melts

Rivers of wonder

Heartbeats’ light

White thunder

Northern star that sets me right

As the space rock pelts

Pick pieces

Cherry on the cake

As I slice

Life’s relish

I often have the same dish

Served stale in arrears

Break the fears

We breathe in circles

Our echoes

Drums beating

The passage of sunken Time

Handing heart I mime

In my mind’s spaces desert flowers bloom

Deep within the cracks a parched land breathes life

Of freedom’s faces many spin the loom

Where unity lacks the thread knots a strife

The push and the pull thug war of others

The will that is weak follows suit head bent

A mind that is full wings not new feathers

A future so bleak wakes in soot the pent

Ashes in flashes a war will displace

Of keen hidden fruit emergence so clear

Wall inwards smashes by might of His Grace

The bearer of truth extinguishes fear

Hail to thee Mother your blood in my veins

To Earth-bound brother calls strong steady reins
