## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM
From spring's first blossoms to winter's frozen caverns, the changing seasons become a metaphor for the inner landscape we all traverse. What begins as a search for the right destination slowly transforms into the discovery that the journey itself is the reward. In surrendering expectations, the self is weathered, renewed and quietly returned to its Source.
I picked daisies
From fields of wild bloom
Setting course on springtime’s kiss
Seasons gone amiss
Weather man’s honey moon

## ✍️ ADAPTED LYRICS
[Verse]
I picked daisies from fields of wild bloom
dove into weather man’s honey moon
setting course firmly on Springtime’s kiss
shed memories of seasons gone amiss
[Verse]
Pale straws whirling around summer days
Relentlessly wayward are the ways
Perhaps too soon, Autumn leaves flocked tight
Random play of seasons of half light
[Verse]
Leaves joining hands, pining for the rake
Obedient, the waning piles hand stake
counting on the rain to grant winner
Renewal in the moss stretched thinner
[Chorus]
Check the boxes, sit back, set the course
All is ready, return to the Source
Stormy weather is the secret key
Relax, all is set for the journey
[Verse]
Winter spelt ice in caverns of glass
winding weaving through the underpass
crossing through mountains in heathen lands
like castle built on the desert sands
[Verse]
Midsummer mind, in between seasons
looking back at spring’s quiet treasons
Under feet quicksand yet not a loss
Looking forth, trust outcomes, take a toss
[Chorus]
Check the boxes, sit back, set the course
All is ready, return to the Source
Stormy weather is the secret key
Relax, all is set for the journey

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM
This poem considers a world where love and truth are mistaken for weakness, and the alter ego that forms when one cannot reconcile such a world with their own principles.
She was freed Twice in a neat row The bluebirds They sang so Their beaks memories of honey The bees had gathered
[Verse] She was freed twice in a neat row The bluebirds, they always sang so their beaks memories of honey the bees had gathered in plenty I flew high keeping company with her wings’ leading symphony We move in skies with pale phantoms The moon witness to lost anthems
[Verse] We all die before we can live but desolation I forgive My years stretch into skies’ rainbows yet my heart loves Earth’s green meadows As with just sleeping, beauty fades We may exchange the hearts for spades breathe within shadows, count the cost yet the true love is never lost
[Chorus] Fleeting Time, I gather in hands rubbing oil through snakes’ kin’s demands filtered true which people think false the best hiding place for all faults Falsehoods hide under Veil so thin they are targets floating within We discover but what we choose the rest we give up and let loose
[Verse] The night’s kiss, a tale of lovers A story of darkened clovers now clubbed to death by the wit game In love we sometimes place the shame Nothing moves as I face winds still just sit around my window sill The wind is dead cold, the breath warm I gaze and feel the tired bees swarm
[Verse] Flies hover, suspended wings gleam Tomorrows sullen noise may seem Picking up the new mornings din I imbibe it, soak it in skin It vibrates, snakes crawl up my spine the sun troubling the dream divine We were free once upon a rhyme when teeth clicked tight shut against dime
[Chorus] Fleeting Time, I gather in hands rubbing oil through snakes’ kin’s demands filtered true which people think false the best hiding place for all faults Falsehoods hide under Veil so thin they are targets floating within We discover but what we choose the rest we give up and let loose
