## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM

Between writer’s block and the imperfect passage from one mind to another, I draw the same lines explores the struggle to turn thought into something that can be shared. Words stutter through narrow keyholes while memory, conformity and assumption cloud what we understand. Yet ink continues to fall, hands guide new lines and familiar truths emerge through different forms. Across the broken tides of communication, we return again and again to the attempt — drawing, redefining and learning how to make ourselves understood.

White paper
Suffocates my words
Like water
Thrown to herds
They drink long in blind consent
No thought of dissent

## ✍️ ADAPTED LYRICS

[Verse]
White paper suffocates my words
Like cold water thrown to the herds
They drink so long in blind consent
harbouring no thought of dissent

[Verse]
Amnesic, we will not find faults
in Turkish baths we take the salts
of our pores now sweating the malts
Of drunken stupor mind exalts

[Verse]
Mnemonic, Technical glitches
The Words keyholes that Mind stitches
through which I then had them stuttered
lengthily Bred and but uttered

[Chorus]
Every Time I land on your shore
like an ode sung to never more
My streams flung like a broken Tide
I draw the same lines my hands guide

[Verse]
My inks flow, like blackened raindrops
from skies hole to console the crops
The children of our stark yearning
born from beaten quills still learning

[Verse]
Dissolved frills, Stark truths face the wise
New definitions to surmise
Bloodied burning paths, Assumption
Beating breath in slow consumption

[Chorus]
Every Time I land on your shore
like an ode sung to never more
My streams flung like a broken Tide
I draw the same lines my hands guide

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM

From dragons and ancient codes of valour to the fragile truth of our own humanity, Counting my Changes asks what remains when strength, youth and glory begin to fade. Perhaps courage lies not in being formidable, but in keeping certain values alight — tolerance, compassion, truth — and turning our weaknesses into something brighter. Small changes, small change, pennies catching the sun: a daily reckoning with the person we are still becoming.

Dragon creed
Our wings are shelter
For the weak
Our souls meek
We shun the glitz and glitter
Though we’re born of stars

## ✍️ ADAPTED LYRICS

[Verse]
We shun the glitz and the glitter
Dragon creed, our wings are shelter
for the weak; we relieve their scars
Our souls meek, though we’re born of stars

[Verse]
We have none left to assuage
The old code is more than adage
not mere tale or words to decode
Past glory that time may erode

[Verse]
Soul swollen, Eternal homage
Bursts in me forgotten image
Now forgotten I do not flee
the waking moments thwarted plea

[Verse]
Bosoms bare the heart of thunder
The shield is but for the feud’s blunder
This tale has no destiny’s spear
Yet you still wonder why no fear

[Chorus]
They shine slight, She innerves them light
Tolerance brings more than foresight
Within their brittle light I bask
Counting my changes, Daily task

[Verse]
Knave and lewd, they gather hell’s fire
The rakes fallen spew desire
There is a riddle I admire
She says it on Nile to enquire

[Verse]
We crawl slow then we stand proud, tall
before the age and fate’s dark weight
curb within us the springy gait
and three are our legs before fall

[Verse]
We cover our humanity
and our incredible frailty
Saucy words, Weapons of the mind
Invisibility’s cloak shrined

[Verse]
There is truth in between the lies
where we find Redemption in sighs
Overhauling weaknesses spun
into bright Pennies in the sun

[Chorus]
They shine slight, She innerves them light
Tolerance brings more than foresight
Within their brittle light I bask
Counting my changes, Daily task
