Lies in reprisal

Of instinct

Gut feeling

Sending our senses reeling

Into dark recess

 

We sink fast

Into bad habits

Compressed fears

Compelling

Our minds fill with convenience

Putting up pretence

 

Our love life

Made of fear of strife

Square models

Thought patterns

Conformity our mind yearns

Being like others

 

Life smothers

When lived in inches

The will dead

Like the Heart

Compromise our daily bread

Look to Love instead

 

Communication

The only wise choice

Bed-ridden

We then voice

What could have been said before

When chance knocks no more

 

Angels’ traits

Slowly dissolving

The web grows

Rarely shows

The chains around revolving

Intertwined movements

Pull and push

Seize, repel

The light creates the darkness

Darkness spurs the light

 

Forever

Unending relay

Lost battle

Defining

Each object soul declining

The duality

 

Idle thoughts

Interpretation

My mind sits

In between

The feeling and the intent

Complex misgivings

 

There are times

All we have are rhymes

Of shadows

In the Heart

Coupling decoupling stanzas

In weary patterns

 

The fullness

It begs for the void

The questions

A hunger

Weak the inner selves avoid

Bitter aftertastes

 

The soul wastes

In bodies that lie

The tongue sharp

Knives wicked

Speech a way to hurt or soothe

The sword in a glove

 

Only Love

The heavenly boon

Caresses

Undresses

The soul a sweet naked flame

Shimmers under sun

Wanton gleam

Daylight dream

Some things are more than they seem

Compounded interest

 

Your shadow

Crossing over mine

Dark omen

Of chances

Piercing looks replace glances

Serendipity

 

The story

Reads infinity

Tags misplaced

The soul braced

To your bedside I had raced

The shivering Tides

 

Silver moon

Overlooks the creek

Where we speak

Silent thoughts

Petals of flowers in pots

Manure of morrows

 

They will grow

The fading whispers

Of past Times

When we dreamt

All that dissolved and was meant

To be or to waste

 

Broken haste

Picking up pieces

Relaying

Songs playing

The soul to soul obeying

Does it speak

Of broken morrows

The stilled mind

Chilling Heart

Polar experiences

Lurking in the dark

 

I gather

Twigs and worn pages

All fire warmth

Chimneys smoke

Fading thoughts that I invoke

A life pressed in blue

 

I blow hard

Rekindling ashes

Under the grey

Red simmers

Volcanic eruptions bleed

What once could have been

 

There is dust

On my fingertips

Raging winds

That mouth quips

Lift but the blinding spent sands

Leaving million more

 

I shake snow

In glass of seconds

White my slate

Empty store

There is nothing in slain grains

No yeast to raise bread

 

Dancing queen

Shimmers with the shake

As I rake

Garden leaves

With lost stories my chest heaves

Untold for undead

 

Scattered breath

Gathers me within

Chest heaving

Soul cleaving

Remnants of threads strewn across

Round and round it twirls

This strange world

Leaves nothing

Unturned rocks withstand all times

Even when they’re hurled

 

Easy come

Yet hard to depart

We lonesome

Reinvent

Weird new ways to be alone

Silence of the Heart

 

We are full

Minds saturated

Dream filled thoughts

Milky ways

The soul wincing as it slays

Demons in dungeons

 

Empty hearts

The love forgotten

Banners high

Reason floats

I build castles without moats

Accessible prey

 

Beast circling

The approach an art

Flanks observed

Poise absurd

Learn survival from the herd

Inner voice pleads shrill

 

Lonely King

Sun in skies sets me

Baleful blue

Hues sallow

Earthen mouthfuls entrenched deep

Within I swallow

Princess rags to stitch

Carriage meek

Fire for witch

Secrets close to bosoms keep

Endings out of reach

 

Pumpkins sleek

Words mere empty pun

Tell a snitch

Favours meant

All the signals that I sent

Lost in trance late shun

 

Dervish whirls

High up in the skies

Keep the pearls

Pigs snort hard

Pick up on the wayward shard

Beady eyes and grunt

 

Choice so vast

Yet mind so tight set

I wiped brunt

You wiped slate

I translate the old regret
