Luscious lips
encounter dry world
Stranger sips
what is hurled
He knows not what is at stake
on following snake

Venom spat
on my face is moved
hails a start
wincing smart
my body falls on the mat
a beggar to be approved

I make signs
as wilting frame sighs
I repeat
all the lies
my heart beats drum in retreat
as chest realigns

Stranger goads
the Earth falls in line
Dark crossroads
growing vine
they point to junction unread
where sum of me bled

I hear noise
of poles collapsing
as my hands
cut through toys
soldiers again relapsing
from fear of the lands

The Goddess
she saves the Kingdom
embalms me
molten three
a picture of her to come
wear me earthly dress

She shatters
known recollection
weaving suns
morrow’s sons
their brides revealed in tatters
wayward reaction

I will might
it possesses me
gathered slight
cerebral
my mind a strange cathedral
where seekers roam free

Mind disjoint
errors of judgement
they imbibed
atonement
crystal balls from where I point
to future described

A lone swan
I hide my feathers
until dawn
breaks my wings
I purchased my reckonings
from days of others

Now hold still
as truth unravels
wicked ones
that death shuns
moving with corpse that travels
for life to instill

The brave look
gaze fiercer than light
it lingers
on fingers
laden on an offered cheek
promise of the meek

Witch’s rune
Course on silver moon
Earthen boon
shown too soon
Pied piper blowing new tune
for maiden to swoon

Lesson heed
know flower from weed
Darkness creed
fear to feed
blossoms growing from the seed
self a silken reed

Hold the night
within bosom tight
Bask in sight
lily white
keep your daily helper sprite
staying in the light

I cast rope
fishing for other outcomes
My heart hope
beating drums
to mathematical sums
the curse overcomes

It distends
beyond body sends
knowledge tool
Special school
star born generations rule
the circle extends

My mind’s slates
horizons dilates
pushing through
Eye’s quivers
stories the soul delivers
between two rivers

I dwell within grace

I dwell within grace
21 February 2023
Stormy times
The lightning runs free
breaks the tree
slow exchange
From wilderness will to change
rainbows cover me

I give light
A token of peace
within me
reaches out
A stirring fills me throughout
budding gift to flout

Eyelids stir
remembrance of days
when we were
twined relays
My feathers offer solace
I dwell within grace

Shine on bright
shine on me your light
eyes witness
vibrations
they pulse through the throbbing mind
seeping out of lids

The pathways
they twirl and spin on
through neurons
redesigned
in memory cells rewind
black of my matter

Conquering
the new dominions
the lashes
in flashes
set the ground for dilution
integrating me

The down on her lips
bristled at the sight of them
they coloured street lights

Her peach lips curled up
her face mask of amazement
her blushing cheeks taut

Her muscles strained locked
moving into position
her body knelt down

Every fiber lit
she tore through blooming flowers
fresh grass met her feet

She watched them fearful
her cheeks aflush from the run
her hair in cascades

They reached out to her
features glowing in the dark
heads covered in fuzz

Ire burnt in hearts
while the Scots paved a free road
Return to glory

The lights flashed on her
Like a mural painted white
she emerged from night

The wizards combined
potions for resurrection
counting dead eyes’ beat

Midnight’s toll rang still
heavy doors creaked sullenly
lanterns hissed their glare

Glint in pupils lost
bedtime struck at eventide
dark everlasting

November skies bled
a flag flying at half mast
symbol of demise

Glory of new-found mystery
The rhythm of the feet now changed
Embracing magic once estranged
Bodies melted in ecstasy;

Like long lost pagan symphony
The moon the clouds in night did chase
Fervent dancers in trembling daze
They locked their arms in restless link
Skies defined them in magic ink
Of lucid embrace transient phase

Cavernous
shadows sight my eyes
I follow
dark inside
A dialog between us
overcomes cobwebs

Thought expressed
ringing through my head
the message
sits clumsy
an attempt to understand
meanings of half light

Piercing ray
resounding echo
burning through
retina
the stratosphere now reckons
the light spilling fast

Mind’s tendrils
nailing the target
course reset
no regret
The hand on my heart measure
of pulsing leisure

Within eye
the whispering trees
build gardens
of morrows
bridges of new intentions
my bosom crosses

The journey
a flight within reeds
Ticking clock
awaits none
Elementary treasures
growing from the shrubs

Untangling
sister’s weaving spun
through the heat
that melts all
A riddle for mind to fall
A tale to recall

Adventure
the soul has begun
within joints
it anoints
hands drawing cardinal points
spaces the eye seeks

The light flows
within my body
It quivers
in rivers
messages it delivers
to cradle of light
