La voix qui m’animait s’exprime en lèvres lasses
Perséphone entendue émerge en mon printemps
La terre qui l’abritait de blancheur lors s’efface
Perce-neige étendue fut vivante en son temps
La houle qui secouait calme blanc laisse des traces
Les ferveurs prétendues ne durent jamais longtemps
L’absent qu’on désirait de la mémoire trépasse
Les attentes trop tendues rembobinent contretemps
Chacun mange à son plat bannis les métissages
Fort picassent les piverts les pies cherchent ce qui brille
Nous jouerons encore là comme des enfants sauvages
Au milieu des prés verts où les jonquilles scintillent
Le cœur hors répit las se fera nouvel âge

The voice that animated me speaks through weary lips
Persephone heard emerges within my spring
The land that sheltered her in whiteness now disappears
Snowdrop lying extended used to be alive in those days
The swell that was shaking dead calm leaves traces
The alleged fervors never last long
The absent once desired from memory fades away
The constricting expectations rewind mishaps
Each eats with his own kind, banished the interbreeding
Loud cry the woodpeckers, the magpies seek all that glitters
We’ll play there again like wild children
In the middle of green fields where daffodils sparkle
The heart out of respite, tired, will find a renewed age
The open trails of gold bring back Queen of the sickle
