Look upon your inner light

Letting go more than the fight

Healing angels wing their way

So give in to love and play

 

And if you trust yourself enough

You’ll find life’s not so tough

On the road to agony

In memories’ key

You’ll found the way to ecstasy

The road may seem so tiresome

I know you feel so lonesome

You think this road just glass and shards

You feel the pieces your soul discards

 

But if you trust yourself enough

When you think that light has gone

Know you’re not out there alone

Feel the angels walk beside

All throughout the rocky ride

I have not included a YouTube song yet because I am making this poem a song which I will include once I have sung it and in fact it started out like a song in my head before I wrote it as a free verse poem. Bear with me because I am not a singer but would really like to get this melody and the lyrics out there because it made me feel good so I thought it might help others feel good too
