Image of Sekhmet in the form of a lion and ancient Egyptian goddess. A powerful ray comes from a planet in the distance and hits the eye in a hidden site of the Egyptian pyramid

## 🧠 ABOUT THE PROCESS

I transformed my original poem by adapting it into lyrics that were then used for a song generated using Suno, featuring my voice. Below you’ll find part of the original poem, the revised lyrics, and the musical version.

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM

Reviving Heartbeat is a song of transformation, where every trial becomes fuel for awakening and every scar carries the seed of wisdom. Drawing on mythic imagery, fire and the enduring rhythm of the heart, it follows the journey from inner turmoil to quiet resilience where the heartbeat remembers its purpose, guiding us steadily towards renewal, hope and the courage to begin again.

Paint my lids
A streak of teardrop
On backdrop
Of laughter
Getting worse getting better
Changes unfettered

## ✍️ ADAPTED LYRICS

[Verse]
Paint my lids a streak of teardrop
Slow peals of laughter on backdrop
Getting worse then getting better
A string of changes unfettered

[Verse]
One o One, Metamorphosis
Lessons learnt, Pupils burnt thesis
The eye a strong raging fire
The hidden Knowledge a pyre

[Verse]
Flame to grow Prometheus dam
holding back Rivers rage that ram
Wisdom for none to assuage
The aching burden of the sage

[Chorus]
Whistle low count to Drunken feet
Softening the blow, take to street
wherein we strangers known will meet
steadily reviving heartbeat

[Verse]
Shape my buds to taste of honey
flowing slow from the flow to see
My chest slowly filled with the glow
Breaking point of the seams to show

[Verse]
Orange tangerines bittersweet
Riddled dreams in core as I eat
Core and more through the flowing streams
Iridescent memory gleams

[Chorus]
Whistle low count to Drunken feet
Softening the blow, take to street
wherein we strangers known will meet
steadily reviving heartbeat

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM

Suspended between waking and dreaming, this song explores a landscape where memory, perception and time begin to fracture. Pulses of light, repeating visions and shifting selves blur the boundary between inner and outer worlds as the heart navigates loss, longing and transformation. Moving through shadows, illusion and fleeting moments of grace, it becomes a meditation on the fragile threads that bind identity across the many layers of experience.

Black widow
Mourning lost vigil
Of her death
Rancid breath
Hovering in morning chill
As Time sweeps over

## ✍️ ADAPTED LYRICS

[Verse]
Black widow steeped in rancid breath
Mourning lost vigil of her death
Hovering in the morning chill
as Time sweeps over her so still

[Verse]
Upon green-blue fields burning pyre
Desert space, my inner realms dire
lurk in shadows, for none to face
No judgement but the fall from Grace

[Chorus]
Retina hammering vision
stuck in loop of the illusion
A stroboscopic impression
before strike, Frontal collision

[Verse]
Stigmata, Mind’s repetition
Your kisses heal my wounds friction
that deep flay my every layer
Relentless, Time is a slayer

[Verse]
Partition between core and skin
Melodies cascade; hope runs thin
A move away from the fences
restores the disturbed defences

[Verse]
Twirling through eras, we were strands
the fear disbands in reprimands
The scorching lips smothering fate
upon melancholy’s blue slate

[Chorus]
Retina hammering vision
stuck in loop of the illusion
A stroboscopic impression
before strike, Frontal collision

Hush hush now

Hush hush now

Hush hush now Mama will build a boat
Just to keep you and me afloat
And if we were to never meet a land
Mama would build a castle made of sand

Yesterday was full of lights in the sky
From ground they reached a burning tidal high
And when the flames seared higher than my cry
I watched them run wilder than hopes would die

Hush hush now Mama will fill your throat
With cries to fly beyond the highest note
The flags will rise above the waving hands
The music will break through the dancing bands

Tomorrow’s crops are burnt for ever more
The gaping hedges drizzling in downpour
And when the wheat’s prices were to soar
She gave them fields of seeds that many bore

Hush hush now Mama will knead the bread
So gently when you’re a million dead
The fallen hark for every word she said
An emblem lost from mind of every head

We once saw the Earth burning like a pyre
From each dark cry their lips would expire
And when I lay beside you on the fire
We rekindled flames blazing higher and higher

The cliffside narrows in thundering sea

The twist and the turn alternating roles

Hearts will and then spurn sunrise and black holes

Of bliss and gallows homicidal glee

Sleepless eye hollows ashen face to flee

The embers that burn in the dying coals

The memories that churn disembodied souls

In flowing shadows on renewal spree

The maidens attire a silken slow tale

Of morrows weaving bare hilltops to mount

Millennium’s desire era to inhale

Blue chest bereaving the fear to surmount

The flames of the pyre in thoughts never pale

Of minds conceiving a lifetime to count

Caring much

Flames in heart a pyre

Soul outlet

Part regret

Equal portions of the two

The fear, the desire

Climb higher

Mountains may have peaks

Yet they stare

Into clouds

Solace a vision of shrouds

On heavenly frame

Call my name

In whirling waters

Abyss stares

Into skies

In between a string of lies

Man-made disasters

I fly free

The heart in throbbing

Holds the key

To kingdoms

There are castles in the air

Between mind and flair

Implosion

Internal order

Aligned streams

Path of dreams

The world less than what it seems

Dissolving matter

Rays scatter

Remnants of the fear

Scorching suns

Raise the bar

Feet walking on liquid tar

Roads of redemption

Losing touch

Recollections void

Nothingness

A slow spin

Neither lose nor ever win

Souls in between worlds
