Down by the river

Each pebble

A symbol

Of weight that creased the footstep

When feet were nimble

Walking straight

Aloft the waters

Heaven’s pull

Contrasting

Gravity everlasting

Maintaining balance

Water flows

Endless free motion

No cushion

Commotion

A state of being alive

In expectation

Opposites

Intertwined movements

Pull and push

Seize, repel

The light creates the darkness

Darkness spurs the light

Forever

Unending relay

Lost battle

Defining

Each object soul declining

The duality

Idle thoughts

Interpretation

My mind sits

In between

The feeling and the intent

Complex misgivings

There are times

All we have are rhymes

Of shadows

In the Heart

Coupling decoupling stanzas

In weary patterns

The fullness

It begs for the void

The questions

A hunger

Weak the inner selves avoid

Bitter aftertastes

The soul wastes

In bodies that lie

The tongue sharp

Knives wicked

Speech a way to hurt or soothe

The sword in a glove

Only Love

The heavenly boon

Caresses

Undresses

Daffodils wither

Alongside the riverbeds

Like bleak blackened suns

The waters swirl fierce

They bear weight of thousand griefs

As the shadows set

Darkness speaks thunders

The bolts firmly set in place

Rekindle the flame

The candle burns bright

Like token of forever

Springs into motion

Dying flame belies

Engraved thoughts of revival

Etched within my skin

The blindness sets in

Unmoved by extra senses

Friday brings

Darkened pangs of fear

Forgotten

Oaths of Love

All that we had then held dear

When we brandished wings

I flutter

In between the realms

Of half light

Blue darkness

Heart caught in the wilderness

Between drops of Time

Empty rhyme

Faces apple tree

We ate least

Of the crust

When we ran so wild and free

In the blue gardens

Golden ark

Shimmering silence

Where bodies

End the souls

They dream of embers and coals

While the rivers flow

Hidden spark

Ignites inner realms

The Master

At the helms

Only the soul goes faster

Forget fading light

I speak bright

Like a cloak

Concealing the light within

My endless source bright

End of the journey

Infinite

The rays of the heart

Silent stream

World of inversion

Relentless

Whirling fast

Desperation to the last

Of fading monsters

Strident scream

World of perversion

Black to white

The weak smite

The kings walk slow in tatters

While the knaves bear crowns

Inside out

The miracles wane

Fading pain

New desire

Unending cycle matters

The caves of my mind

Light splatters

Cavities of eyes

I see them

The dark hordes

Silhouettes cut against gleam

Of waning moonbeam

They depict

With our quaking fears

Shades of grey

Loss decay

Down once more into the fray

Battle creation

Upside down

Kafka they remind

Those patterns

Bleak lanterns

Rising of the dead who drowns

Though the hand extends

We will see

The victorious ends

Rise of tides

That repeat

Suspended

They beat fast in my bosom

Like fierce and caged birds

Their beautiful songs

Broken tides of the dark blood

A cycle of moon

We once spoke along

Like buzz of a million bees

Our hands were still wrapped

Around bright futures

That unfolding slow portrayed

Light of Unity

Those translucent words

They flew like a dove so high

Born Unbreakable

The shimmering bond

A token of inner light

Within the darkness

All that there once was

Gradually dissolving

In grey wisps of smoke

Earth’s crust Revolving

Circling my two fading suns

Celebrations yet dormant
