The chicks are cute, please don’t eat em
The cows en route don’t mistreat em
The pigs are loose to slaughter don’t lead em
The geese didn’t choose don’t force feed em

Since you stopped the meat
You picked up the beat
Since you stopped the meat
You binged on the beet

The lamb chewed grass they smelled quite funny
The bull looked crass its dung too runny
The hoards charged on towards the bunny
The fields stretched along nice and sunny

Since you stopped the meat – baby
You picked up the beat – oh yeah
Since you stopped the meat
You lost the crow’s feet

Since you stopped the meat – baby
You picked up the beat – oh yeah
Since you stopped the meat
You binged on the beet

Since you stopped the meat – baby
You picked up the beat – oh yeah
Since you stopped the meat
You lost the crow’s feet

Under the pink gases we lie

Under the pink gases we lie

Arrogant heads bear greying crown
their powers slowing at sundown
their shadows leaving their hometown
They make merry though face ashen

The will unbalanced blowing through
a thousand passages untrue
a maze through which blue sparrows flew
demented the mind stood at odds

Though morrow’s lights are uncertain
we know what lies behind curtain
we have a vow to ascertain
we, knights, with mission to endure

Never to forsake what we heard
from the lips of angels uttered
to free humans through spell and word
to balance is our task renewed

Times may lead us to disavow
from crippling acts that Earth do plough
scattering lives, we know not how
our vocation shorn by lost faith

Our appeal would shatter the sky
under the pink gases we lie
there is more than to lay down, die
pink will turn purple through our light

I set out light as a feather
lost my way through moss and heather
dark storms my heart will now weather
their stark vines crawl through me at night

There are winds blowing me outside
hollowed out my insides slow glide
I am subdued at eventide
Dawn will resurrect what I am

In my mind lurk expectations
I write silent invocations
my book opens revelations
in my spree there is path to God

The holly hollered for a kiss
your sweet face, somehow, I did miss
the winds in winter did much hiss
missing heat of your nightly touch

I conjured your presence in space
with many a quill to retrace
Your features woven inky lace
I drew from memories heartbeat

Right upon you I set my sights
The days went through full of delights
Rock me baby on moonlit nights
let the sun wake us from our sighs
