Under the pink gases we lie
25 September 2024

Arrogant heads bear greying crown
their powers slowing at sundown
their shadows leaving their hometown
They make merry though face ashen
The will unbalanced blowing through
a thousand passages untrue
a maze through which blue sparrows flew
demented the mind stood at odds
Though morrow’s lights are uncertain
we know what lies behind curtain
we have a vow to ascertain
we, knights, with mission to endure
Never to forsake what we heard
from the lips of angels uttered
to free humans through spell and word
to balance is our task renewed
Times may lead us to disavow
from crippling acts that Earth do plough
scattering lives, we know not how
our vocation shorn by lost faith
Our appeal would shatter the sky
under the pink gases we lie
there is more than to lay down, die
pink will turn purple through our light
