## 🧠 ABOUT THE PROCESS

I transformed my original poem by adapting it into lyrics that were then used for a song generated using Suno, featuring my voice. Below you’ll find part of the original poem, the revised lyrics, and the musical version.

## 📜 ORIGINAL POEM

The poem is a meditation on how memory survives in the senses, returning in fragments through touch, scent, sight, sound, and taste until old wounds can be recognised, understood, and finally released.

Time loops in waters
Relentless moment’s pursuit
Stillness in shadows

## ✍️ ADAPTED LYRICS

[Verse]
Time loops in waters resorbing
Body’s particles absorbing
the relentless moment’s pursuit
Stillness in shadows that ensued

[Verse]
Joints crack in aching belonging
Surface of the Truths still lurking
Lost in specks of sand like embers
golden trails your face remembers

[Verse]
Within the sparks streaks spiralling
From hand’s touch eyelids fluttering
What did you say your name was then?
I’ve known you somewhere I reckon

[Verse]
Eye withered from thoughts now ablaze
Braced them high amnesia’s bouquets
within nostrils slow invading
Fragrant memories cascading

[Verse]
Nose puckering up redrafting
the familiar scents spent crafting
scented pictures of me framed tight
in translucent corners to light

[Chorus]
The fluttering lids slow absolve
Riddle from yesteryear to solve
What did you say your name was then?
Let’s forget hurt, begin again

[Verse]
Ears glistening lobes in retention
Shivering from recognition
Stories from my Heart to foretell
when touch of nape and ear would quell

[Verse]
Fate lent me eyesight from ravens
I coughed up dark ink from havens
Stark memories of morrows lay
Icy beginnings to display

[Verse]
The sight of hopeful Times seething
Protracted, painful the teething
I chewed again hurt that travels
Hidden glass within the morsels

[Verse]
Of taste and of sheens within pain
Driveway to deserts soaked in rain
Actors playing a million parts
Screenings in sunrise that slow smarts

[Chorus]
The fluttering lids slow absolve
Riddle from yesteryear to solve
What did you say your name was then?
Let’s forget hurt, begin again
