Royalty
breathes within sternum
to maintain
decorum
Dragon gains audacity
remembered, not slain

The rules bent
they forego intent
Rising tides
where it hides
beckoning to hollowed space
of alien race

See irate
they gather at will
Shining gates
awe instil
Palace shimmers in their eye
suppressing their cry

The doors heave
Elders to bereave
glisten white
head to fight
their members reducing slow
though the numbers grow

Speech floats low
Nothing said is true
Rates below
risk’s return
Though for respite I do yearn
I unwind in you
