I walked down to the river

Trickle of water

Ran upwards from spirit’s palm

Defying physics

Challenge to set intentions

Opened reservoirs of grace

Spring fresh gushed onwards

Streams forming in its light trail

Moving upward drive

Elevated concepts rose

Scaling mere fragments of thought

Land formations thinned

Water seeped in through all cracks

Deltas met their end

I walked down to the river

While it flowed down to the sea

Seagulls mewed faintly

Their sullen voices beckoned

Ocean’s thunderous cry

Flooded in white light that roared

Sun regained power

Its rays a show of control

Scorching dried subjects

Mind devoid of healing cool

Laps thoughts of sole atonement

Heat waves palpable

Raw pulse of energy shot

Life withered in vein

Struggling mind met not a thought

Scarcity overcame soul

The Earth heaved and sighed

Split into two like parched bread

Its insides spread out

All that is within will flow

From rivers of faith we knew

Like green miracle

Between the cracks grows a seed

Earth’s core sparks new life

One eternal and kneaded

In wisdom and light

One foolish stumbling over

Its own set of human legs

Set apart, bonded

They both cry in unison

One over the joy

In this echoed Universe

One over plight of this world

Silently they cry

Of awakening

Their voices echo of plight

As they hit the ground

Resounding thud in my mind

Speaks of reaching new levels

Melting summer heat

Sets free air in horizon

Where ground meets the skies

Lower stance breeds higher soul

As the push furthers the pull

Scorching sun beams down

With scarce summer breeze hissing

Soundless voices speak

Mind in stillness hears better

Old vows in contract renewed

Drops of water call

Vibrating waves stir

Circles of pure light

Shining in the dark

Iridescent lips whisper

Secrets of a fleeting night

Sheltering rains poured

Violet locks swirled

To an existence that leads

Beyond this unreal

Reaching further into truth

Cloaked in still silence

Muffled thoughts in hooded mind

Spoke not inner wanderings

Dropping seven veils

In Earth’s anticipation

Of oncoming floods

Eye looked upon surging light

Photons flew through air

Sky split with bursts of sunlight
