An endless journey
16 March 2024

Darting rays
stray on my figure
steel back stays
keeps my rigor
Icy bone follows my stare
sprinkles snow in air
Tall and stout
I wander about
white hairs play
with the sun
I was once the chosen one
now battered relay
Clouds are lost
in my sullen hope
I will frost
to delay
lessons teaching ways to cope
between night and day
Challenges
tear my thinning hair
Wilting mind
avenges
airborne strikes that rip me bare
blizzard’s shapes to find
Packing bags
other places rise
once in rags
now arise
treasures born from my own kind
other days rewind
There is light
in the raging snow
I must fight
sleet to go
wading in ice to the knee
An endless journey
