We shift humans thrice

Fireflies light
lulling you to stay
in the night
took away
my breath that seeped over sand
creeping into hand

Flowing through
a composite make
Feel the ache
pulsing through
you are only one who knew
the growing heartbreak

Twenty times
sounding church bell chimes
you give love
from above
wounded soldiers giving forth
seasons’ deadly crimes

Surrender
the fighters are fierce
dark glimmer
of their oath
hundred of them my chest pierce
deathly reminder

I count twice
the riddled heirlooms
They are mine
dark outshine
bringers of light to the wombs
We shift humans thrice

Reading of the poem:
Lights & Motion - Wolves
