Wet grass tickled feet

Wet grass tickled feet

30 October 2020

 Children of morrows;
 their cries ringing everywhere
 soaking Earth purple

 Foggy landscapes met
 teary eye saturated
 with pains of fledglings

 Stormy weather formed
flower of life in my chest
 that drenched my heart red

 Pouring rain renewed
 hope in another Earth’s rise
 The bud of my thoughts

 Petals bloomed in mind
 blossoms of tomorrow’s world
 that dewy drops spelt

 Misty skies breathed soft
 whispers of promises kept
 Wet grass tickled feet

The dust had settled

The dust had settled

Landscapes gyrating

Moon a backdrop of ashes

the Earth spun onwards

The soot filled the sky

fragments disintegrating

the ground split in flakes

Dirt strewn everywhere

the flowers lost to the weed

battles in gardens

Tea estates littered

cinders from the teeming pit

Magmatic plates moved

Soil’s upheaval

The hills turned into mountains;

valleys disappeared

Churning sand of time

Gradual recovery

the dust had settled

Dewdrops in the air

Pearls scattering on my face

the first of the rains

Heads hung low they weep

Zoroastrian filters

drizzle through their plight

Drop by drop gathers

weight of a hundred stones cast

millenary fate

Maidens in tatters

their backs particles of flesh

sprinkled across choice

A dash of freedom

drips through time that seeps in age

beads of silver pain

A splash in the pond

Murky waters now stirring

trace of red teardrops

Prince of Peace anew

Prince of Peace anew

7 October 2020

 Scalding memories
Blisters in the soul that wept
 Abandoned all hope

 Scorching sunlight dimmed
Shadows played with my mind’s eye
 Dusk fell on the plains

 A nightingale sang
 Darkness covered the window
 Black spiders shriveled

 A flutter in heart
 shaking off obscurity
 Wild thoughts bloomed inward

 Parched throat renewed odes
 Charred flowers revived colours
 The blackness withered

 A staff split curtains
Shades of his heart shimmered through
 Prince of Peace anew

Serenity sweeps

Serenity sweeps

3 October 2020

A lark calls morning

Waking my mind from slumber

sunshine stirs all frames

`

My eyes now gather

your face falling into place

behind closed eyelids

`

Serenity sweeps

into my beating heart’s cage

its throbs flying free

`

Humans united

Humans united

2 October 2020

Clad in iron frame

weary from the highs and lows

the traveler weeps

`

The separation

sum of all our misgivings

undulating pains

`

Look into my eyes

see the rivers of my soul

piercing into black

`

Unchained, flying free

a bluebird sings in my mind

melodies that haunt

`

From dead plains they rise

the songs of togetherness

echo of the Love

`

We come together

Breath of you through Heart of me

Humans united

The waters flowed calm

The waters flowed calm

The elements raged

Pelting rain tore at my cheeks

The storm’s pace quickened

A raven called hoarse

a mild reminder of death

beak lost in twister

Rising in the skies

Gusts of wind shook free my frame

I recounted time

A single line drawn

across my heaving chest’s throb

The tempest, silenced

Soothing thoughts surfaced

As hurricane receded

into oblivion

The waters flowed calm

Monsoon surge a memory

Its downpour wasted
