Dead white

Dead white

5 January 2011

Beads of sweat dripping

Weight of years of misery

A pigeon singing

Peace in the bitter cold night

Would a heart finally find?

≈

The white shroud falling

Lost is the joy once to be

In death’s prevailing

Disappearing in dead white

With no destiny in mind

Jour blanc

Jour blanc

5 janvier 2011

Perles de sueur tombent

Poids des années de misère

Sur une joue palombe

Paix dans le froid mordant cru

Un cœur pourrait-il trouver ?

≈

Le blanc suaire tombe

Perdue est la joie d’hier

Marche en catacombes

Sous voile blanc je ne suis plus

Je n’ai plus de destinée

Dead bird

Dead bird

4 January 2011

One grey autumn day

A bird falling from his nest

Plodded along hurt

I watched him helplessly die

Unable to make him heal

Oiseau mort

Oiseau mort

4 janvier 2011

Un jour d’automne gris

Un oiseau tombé du nid

Se traînait par terre

Je le regardai mourir

Sans pouvoir le secourir

Rosée matinale

4 janvier 2011

Rosée matinale

Embue les carreaux fêlés

De ma salle de bain

Quelle moiteur règne-t-elle donc

En dehors comme en-dedans ?

Crépuscule

Mon premier essai au Tanka (3 janvier 2011) :

Crépuscule

Le ciel rose se strie

de rayons solaires mourants

C’est le crépuscule !

Est-ce tristesse de voir le jour

partir ainsi de mon cœur ?

Yielding meters, writing teeters

1st January 2011

∞

Alas could I then write again?

I have become frightened hen

And as I look and forsake the pen

Retreating in my barren den

∞

I think of the times lost back in yesterday

When all was mirth, fun and play

When wandering mind me would stray

Within a world that dark could sway

∞

Forsaken now is this pen of mine

For a remotely lost black Valentine

Whom this life from count of nine

Would want again in it me to whine

∞

Of darkened soul too much I saw

Of pressure binding shut my jaw

Of injustice hiding behind the law

Of cutting flesh by a heartless saw

∞

Oh how I wish for a time to come

When I could again be all but mum

Of times that would only be a sum

Of bliss like cakes topped by plum

∞

And as I witnessed wake of dawn

Thinking of the year now gone

Hoping with this new one was born

A hope to change me from forlorn

∞

A million whispers touched my ear

Of nature’s presents sweet and dear

Of universal law now bound to appear

To pierce the darkness like a spear

∞

Pensées pour 2011

1er janvier 2011

◊

Je positive

Je relègue mon travail me refais « oisive »

◊

◊

Return to shadows

September and 23 December 2010

∞

When she is gone and is no more

Surely it will remain there her smile

Like a nasty little wound in the core

But open hardly more than a while

∞

For as the night softly engulfs her

She creeps back into a dark shadow

That is all she could now remember

Of what was once her shining glow

∞

And you onlooker such sweet mortal

Just like the flames that you still stir

Shall remain for her like a lost portal

Like a sweet entrance but now a blur

∞

And while you might take your shower

And in a broken speedboat take a ride

Like a waning and yet drunken flower

Back into sweet death she shall glide

∞

Some could seek return to innocence

Others on darkness would ride alone

Life shall lose any and all of its sense

For those whose heart became stone

∞

Fragments of still life

September and 23 December 2010

¤

Memories returned

Still pieces of life

from tables overturned

by love so rife

¤

 A tear on a cheek

A mere peck on the side

Not a symptom of weak

By no rules do I abide

¤

Or maybe the rule of love

That I like to observe

Perched with you, lil dove

The thought hit a nerve

¤

You may be perched so high

But remember perched above

Rocks sit and can never fly

So quit them to find the love

¤

How much can a being

into pieces just fragment

Upon darkness seeing

Each and every torment

¤

I know not of glass

As in stout plastic I am

This too shall pass

Both abjection and glam

¤

Picking up does lift

pieces like it does spirits

and helps come swift

Recognition of no limits

¤

Who else can be whole now?

And if you say rocks will fly

I won’t even question how

Won’t even dare to ask why

¤
