Shutter sky

Shutter sky

26 June 2011

A word like a hiss to utter

A wing like a bird to flutter

Across the skies and hills so high

A world that lies like sob and sigh

A mumble like rant to mutter

An eyelid like a quaint shutter

To shut out the glare of the sky

For hearts do sink while all hopes fly

Acid of memory cutter

Through thoughts that lie still in clutter

As my heart races through the why

Of a world that thrives on a lie
